sorry ive been out of pocket lately...keep forgetting to check msgs. so you had lost 17 lbs 2 weeks ago (which is awesome!)...how about now? are you feeling ok? moved on to solids yet? My "sticking" problem is resolving itself finally. the dr thought it might be a stricture but gave me carafate to try first in case it was an irritation from surgery. as long as i take it and the nexium i can eat easier. i had 2 small meatballs the other night and they went down pretty easily ---- I WAS ECSTATIC!!! i have been exercising a couple days a week, mostly treadmill and swimming but i am meeting with a trainer today to start an exercise program. i am down 30 lbs and a pant size in 5 weeks so i am thrilled! keep me posted on your progress... i will try to better about checking msgs :/

I'm feeling ok - I still feel kind of 'blah' I'm not tired but don't have energy - does that make sense?
How are you? You went through quite the ordeal! That is crazy - are you getting around ok?

The gurgling has stopped so that is good. Overall its been going pretty well - it was a rough first week after but once I hit 8 days I felt almost back to normal. I am pretty tired of not eating - I'm still on full liquids for another week - then pureed - I miss crunching on something. I was off this week again and next week we have a family vacation and my biggest concern is how fast I get tired. How was going back to work?

im sorry you had such a rough time ... but i'm glad you are feeling better now! i am still on soft foods cuz everything i eat sort of "catches". i take little bites, chew chew chew, but it still is very uncomfortable. other than that I am feeling good, started exercising and am down a pant size so life is good! how about you? have you been shedding the pounds?

That would be great to keep in touch - I am trying not to freak but I am! I've never had surgery before so the entire unknown is worrying me - plus everyone saying how weak they are for so long after. and I am not looking forward to the 1 week clear liquids or 2 weeks of full liquids afterwards

Don't be anxious. You got this girl! The best advise that I can give is go into it with a positive attitude. I honestly believe that's what helped me "bounce back" with minimal complications. If it's any consulation....I didn't sleep before surgery and am still not sleeping after. LOL No real change in that department!!!!

I'm good. Slowly trying to get back into a normal routine. How are you?

I appreciate it and agree with you 100%. I'm really not telling anyone I work with and a selective group of friends, very selective. I know 2 people that have had the sleeve and have spoken with them at length about it. I am grateful for your support and I hope you feel the same. I have been reading like a book editor soaking in as much information as I truly can. I surmise that if you do what the doctor says you will be just fine and continue to lose weight.
