    Hi Bonnie,

Have a question for you. Most of the posts have sleeve patients staying in the hospital 1 night. I'm sure you did the same but I will probably leaving the Surgery Center 6-7 hours after surgery. How did you do? That's the one part that worries me.

Hi Bonnie! How are you doing?

So glad to hear you are doing well! I am doing great too. Stalls have been short also, exercising quite a bit (4x/week cardio 2x/week strength training) although I am sure that might go down a bit b/c I report to school on Monday. Food issues hmmmm I can't think of any off the top of my head-haven't even tried potatoes! I tried 2 bites of a biscuit (I know right?!) and I could feel it lump up so that was that!

Bonnie I too have both knees that have very bad bone spurs that need to be shaved so I too should never run which makes me sad but that ELIPTICAL is a life saver and I think I actually get a better workout than running anyways. As your weight comes off is like being in space literally you feel weightless and as time goes on hiking that mountain EASY!!! Yes no marathon but I look at my life as just that a great marathon!!! Keep it up because you are an athlete and you can do it.
  9. Thanks for the encouragement.

I might try the skim milk. I like it anyway. I tried the 2 percent with my protein shake and it made me queezy. How many calories are you getting in a day? Around 6 to 800 for me. I think he did a good job with the surgery as well. Going to get me a bike too the first week of july. I love bikes.

Hey! Doing well. I can also eat 3 to 4 ounces at a time and drink normally. I also need a nap daily. Fatigue more than sleepy. Oh....do you eat 3 times a day or 5 times a day? I like 5 but can we do that? Lol?..drinking milk is the only thing that doesn't agree with me so far. Just ready to get more weight off of course. Hubby keeps fixing me up when it's time to eat...good stuff.

I am doing great. I have my appointment Friday. I am back home and glad to be here. Loved seeing my dad though. I just get a little fatigued still during the day and have to take a nap lol. Hope that will go away soon though. Glad to see you are doing well. Please keep me posted

Strangest NSV

by bmiller140 on 09-07-2014 at 07:59 PM
Many NSVs are personal like when you realize that the smallest pants in your closet are too small or when you need to adjust the rear view mirror in your car because your butt is smaller.

Others are more public like when people call you skinny or good looking men actually notice you and smile.

Well I have now experienced the strangest NSV - so far at least. My husband and I had dinner with my son and his kids today. As we were leaving the parking lot I told my husband

I Have a Nice Neck - Who Knew

by bmiller140 on 09-06-2014 at 07:57 PM
Went to get my hair cut and colored yesterday. I'm 3 months post surgery and what hair isn't falling out is so dry. My hairdresser had Gastric Sleeve surgery 5 years ago and she is one of my coaches. Always puts a moisturizing protein treatment on my hair. Now she tells me that I need to take Biotin. Will get some tomorrow.

Back to the neck story. We decided that I should cut my hair shorter because of the dryness and to make it easier for me. The back is really short but the sides

Hot Dogs, Chips and Baseball

by bmiller140 on 08-23-2014 at 02:37 PM
The Little League World Series has really captured my husband's interest. I enjoy watching the games too.

So today I planned to fix hot dogs for a late lunch while we watched the final International game. Just seemed appropriate. I put a great deal of thought into how I would have this meal. Decided that the thin half of the hot dog bun toasted well would be a good base. Coat with mustard and top with a turkey wiener cut open so it will lay flat. Then top with regular Wolf Brand

I Confess - I'm Obsessed

by bmiller140 on 08-16-2014 at 06:28 PM
So glad that I have this forum of great folks to share my confession with. I know that you won't judge me. We share so many of the same experiences.

Well, here it goes. I confess that I am obsessed with crossing my legs like a lady. Okay - I know you guys might not understand but you women know just what I mean.

The first time I realized that I could cross my legs was at my two week post-op appointment. It's been down hill since then. At my desk, in meetings, in my

Our Deepest Fear

by bmiller140 on 08-14-2014 at 01:33 PM
Every day we have a quote pop up on our computers when we log in. Yesterday's quote really spoke to me so I wanted to share it with everyone on this site. The quote is by Marianne Williamson from a book titled A Return to Love: Reflection on the Principles of A Course in Miracles.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to
