Biography:

I am 47 years old and am a mom of 4 . I live in town but we have a riding pasture outside of the city where we board horses. I work as a file manager, and prior to that for 6 years was a police dispatcher/911 operator. I love my work. I cannot be out in the field, but I am able to help from inside as well.
I am a glass half full kind of gal, always looking for the best in people or situations.
I was fine weight wise till after the birth of my first child. I ended up with Graves Disease, a thyroid disorder. Took radioactive iodine for treatment and am now hypo thyroid. After that, being put on meds for it, having 3 more children and gall bladder surgery while pregnant (not laproscopic) really did a number on me. Oh, I'm sure stress played its part too!!
I and DH are now looking at becoming empty nesters in the next couple of years and we would love to do more travelling. We bought a Harley last year and I love being a passenger - seeing the sights, smelling the earth, feeling the sun and the breeze on my face - yup - love it! When we cannot do that I do have a nice bicycle. I enjoy that too. It's still difficult as I get winded so easily but I'm working on that.

I look forward to a new life with my sleeve. Hope to get more in shape, more comfortable around people. More confident. And, I look forward to making new, long lasting friends on this site!!
