I started a gym a couple weeks ago. Getting into a good routine. So far all is going great. Nothing really bothers me. ...potatoes a little. Probably a good thing. Lol. After I got over the first month it started doing good. The first month was miserable. It's just turned into a forced diet which is working well. Sometimes I want more, my eyes are bigger than my belly...literally. I have a LONG way to go but I'm doing it.
Sounds lie you are doing great too. One day I'm sure I'll say this was the best thing I've ever done.

Hi Nancy! I'm so happy to meet someone else from my area; thanks for your note! No, I've not been to any of the support group meetings, and honestly have not met anyone who's had this same surgery. Dr Chin did my surgery, he was wonderful. I'd originally started this process over 3 years ago with Delmarva Bariatric but was not comfortable with the docs or the staff there. I'm so happy I made the decision to switch surgeons; I'm certain my recovery & success is due to making that choice to switch.
Our post op journey seems similar, I've had little to no pain. Fruits are getting easier to enjoy, but proteins & vegetables are easier too. Once my brain learned my new tummy rules, it's been much easier to enjoy meals, especially with friends/family and in restaurants.
I'd love to chat sometime or maybe meet for a walk or something? It'd be nice to have someone to share this experience with that truly understands what it's like.
