Hi Jen, Hope you are doing better..I think being constipated or feeling you have to go when you have only been drinking shakes is just that there is nothing in your system like solid foods..It will happen..My brother just had the roux en y surgery..He lives a two hour drive away and calls me about it..He said he didn't go bm but I told him you were dehydrated from the surgery and haven't eaten solids yet so you wont go..Once the body gets rid of all the anesthesia and all those toxins your body will be back to normal..You are eating what you should it will come..remember strained fruit to help..If you have any problems call your surgeon or your other doctors..I think milk can bind some people up..If you have to use your shakes without milk and if it works you will know..but get enough calcium in..Iron binds me up too..

I'm a bit frustrated, at the present. I haven't *gone to the bathroom* for about 5 days, and I'm going shopping for a probiotic, this evening. Still have not lost anymore...I am going to keep staying on the path I'm on, though. From everything I read, this is normal, so I'm trying to remain patient. LOL How are you doing with getting all your liquids down? I find I'm not getting as much as I'm supposed to! I'm really focusing on that this week, and staying off the scale for a few days.

GIRL! You cannot just not eat or drink anything. And acute pancreatic doesn't sound like a good thing...I'm praying for you! I wonder where the nausea is coming from? Are you able to drink Ensure or protein shakes?

Glad to hear you are doing good! Have you hit a stall on the scale yet? I have been at the same weight for 4 days. Not really shocked or disappointed, just wondering how long it will last! I am down 25 lbs, but have been stuck here now for several days. LOL (hard to complain with those results, right?!) Are you still dropping quickly or did you stall too?

Thanks Jenifer. I can't wait to start losing weight. Last August I went on a cruise and I thought I was the biggest person on the ship. This year, I want to be able to participate in more water activities without being self consicious.

Hi Jennifer, Did you have your surgery with Dr. Almanz? I'm a little nervous about going to Tijuana, but I want this surgery done immediately. How was your experience?

You know, I started adding some greek yogurt on Monday evening, and it made ALL the difference in the world for me. I, too, was sooooo tired, and couldn't make it to work last week. The maddening thing is that it had NOTHING to do with pain or soreness from surgery...it was that no one can function on less than 50 calories a day! LOL SO! Once I added protein, I am more and more like me. I still take an hour nap when I get home from work, but that's still progress, right?

I can honestly say that recovery was SLOW, last week. Protein did the trick. Now I have had a little bit of scrambled egg, and a little bit of mashed sweet potatoes. (so good) I think now that we can intake a bit more nutrition, we'll be good to go. I miss you, friend! You are one of the best parts about my surgery. Hope you're well! xoxo
