Saturday will be my one year anniversary since my surgery, and I have to say just how pleased I am with the decision I made to do this. When I started this journey, I weighed in at 245 and today, I weigh 137!!! WOOHOO yay me lol! I do still have times where I cannot get in all the protein that's needed, but others days make up for that. I do get my fluids in with the tea, coffee, juices, etc. Overall...I am one happy woman!! Good luck to all of you and if you are considering the surgery, GO FOR IT!!! You will LOVE the results.... I KNOW I DO!!

Hello and Thanks for your encouragement! To answer your questions... Eating- I see your about a month out so at that point I was handling food pretty well. I followed the rules to a T... meaning I chewed chewed chewed! And ate slowwwwww, always being mindful that I was at the table, relaxed, never on the go or standing up. Those factors contribute greatly to a successful meal time. I personally always had trouble knowing when I am full so a few times I took that extra bit when I shouldn't of and I had the foamies... you know what that is or experienced it? Its gross! So I used to get foamies and a few times it just creeped right back up on me and came out in a bubble of flem. Sorry so detailed but be sure never to over eat or it will happen. Not fun! I grossed my husband out many many times ;-) lol. Just be more mindful of your body telling you your full and eat slow... sounds like your just filling your stomach to the brim ya know.

And as for exercise... walk walk walk until they tell you your ok to exercise. I got the ok pretty quick. 3 weeks out I could do light cardio but no weights till about 2 months out. What does your Dr. say? And how active were you before surgery?
