Biography:

I've been overweight most of my life. I slimmed up as a teenager and kept the weight off for about two years but then, I gained it all back plus about 130 pounds.

I've been married to the best man in the world for 14-1/2 years and I am the Purchasing Director for a Junior College in Mississippi. I'm also a full time Business Administration student at MS State University... Go Dawgs!

At the age of 18 I started having back problems and went from on the go all the time, to sitting and laying in the bed most of the time because I was in such pain. That along with all the steroids for my back packed on the pounds in just over a year. That was 14 years ago. I weighed 350 pounds for the better part of the last 14 years. I've had 5 back surgeries and was almost paralyzed from complications of one of the back surgeries. I finally made the decision in January 2013 to have a gastric surgery done to get this weight off. My insurance covered the surgery and it took me nearly a year to get everything in order so the insurance would pay. I finally had my surgery on December 9, 2013 and it has been a huge success! I LOVE my sleeve.
