Hi, I consulted w/Dr. Chau, still deciding whether to have the surgery since I'm scared something will go wrong. How are you doing?

Hi Renee, Dr. Chau is the best!!! I don't attend any support groups because I have friends and family who have had the surgery and they have helped. Exercise will help a lot when you can do it! But remember to take the time to let your body adjust and then start. Good luck with everything! It's life changing!

one week since surgery

by renee2 on 02-19-2014 at 07:02 AM
It has been one week since my surgery and I feel great! I have been up and about since 2 days after with very little pain - running around, etc. I never thought that I would not really crave food or care about not eating!

That being said, I did have my first experience with other peoples views yesterday. A few of us ladies go out to dinner monthly and we have planned to do it tonight. I said I can go anywhere they want, as long as they have soup (liquid post-op diet). One person

Liquid diet post op but hungry

by renee2 on 02-16-2014 at 06:19 PM
I had the surgery this past Wednesday so I'm still on the liquid diet. Starting today I have been so hungry that I don't know what to do. I've been drinking the liquids but don't feel full at all. I go back to doctor Tuesday to see if they will change diet. Any suggestions on how to get through the next day?

Per-op diet and no weight loss

by renee2 on 02-06-2014 at 06:28 PM
I have doing the preoperative diet for 5 days now and don't seem to have lost any weight. From reading other posts people seem to lose per-op so I'm not sure why I can't lose! Has anyone else had this and how does this translate to weight loss post sleeve?

Business meeting

by renee2 on 01-28-2014 at 07:20 AM
I need some guidance - I will be going to a 3 day seminar for work where both drinks and food are done as a group, all catered in, at about 4 weeks post surgery. Since I cannot eat the foods that they supply how do you handle this situation? Most people at my job do not know that I have having the sleeve only that I am seeing a nutrionist for eating guidance.
Thanks
