Oh, I feel the same way! I think it just really sticks in my head when I read the posts from people who are losing fast, that our weight loss seems slow. It's adding up though. And hopefully we'll have less loose skin in the end!

It was fine. Kind of a small group this time. How are things going for you?

I should have written sooner. I'm at the support group right now. I'm looking around and don't think I see you.

Yeah, shoot! We should have both been plastic surgeons.

Oh, shoot! I should have come. The office called and had to reschedule my appointment so that's why I didn't come. My next one is scheduled for the afternoon of the next group meeting, so I will be there. So how much are we talking? I know some people go to Mexico for it. Just don't know if I would feel comfortable doing that. I did have breast cancer a few years ago and had to have a mastectomy, so I think I might be able to at least get a boob job paid for by insurance.

Oh, good. Glad to hear you broke it! My appointment isn't until 7:00, so I will probably be a couple minutes late to group. I think hydration is key too, I've been trying really hard the last few days and also making sure I get in enough calories. I hope you stay around for the meeting in August!

    Hi,

How are you feeling? I went to support group on Monday, didn't think to ask if you were going. I plan to be there next month too. I have an appointment scheduled for late that afternoon so I can just stay up there for it since I'm. Coming from Renton. Any chance you will be there?

Hi. I ended up having it at the center, it went great! No complications, went back to work 6 days later, I was just up there this afternoon for my one week postoperative. My next appt, is on the 14th and I'm going to stay up there for the support group, will you be there?
  10. Aww thanks! I feel good now. Surprisingly so, in fact. I sure was worried about recovery being worse.
  11. Girl you are melting away!!! Hope you are feeling better every day.

Hi, just noticed you will be having surgery at the same place that I will be, hopefully in June. Good luck to you!
  15. Yes and I'm freaked out! I'm from south of puyallup so we are going up tonight and staying In a Hotel. Check-in for surgery is 7:15 am and should be discharged about the same time on Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Who is that in the mirror?

by MillCreekKim on 11-06-2014 at 06:06 PM
For many years I would point out an overweight person and ask my husband if I was "her size." Because I would see myself in the mirror and think "I'm not that big." But then would see pictures of myself and think "Who is THAT? I'm soo big"

So now here I am 6 months after surgery and there is no denying that I have lost weight but now when I look in the mirror I still see the fat lady.

It sure is a weird phenomenon. I don't have a

Regular Size

by MillCreekKim on 10-15-2014 at 01:14 PM
I have found that I actually like shopping for clothes now that I don't have to worry about finding clothes in "my" size It was always such a struggle to find things that didn't gape, ride up or pants that were either too tight or too big. I found myself in a fitting room the other day and I looked in the mirror and saw a regular size person looking back at me. By no means am I skinny but I am no longer grossly overweight or obese. AND there are sooo many more cute clothes in "regular"

Happiness is....

by MillCreekKim on 09-25-2014 at 12:20 PM
Trying on clothes yesterday I grab a really cute skirt in a size 18 and try it on. Only to be (delightfully) disappointed that it doesn't fit because it is TOO BIG!!!! WHAT?! Too good to be true? Nope it happened and I am thrilled!

In May I was a 22 or 24 and now am a solid 16 with a few 14's thrown in for good measure.

It's a good thing.

Perfect

Just got back blood test results everything was stated as PERFECT.
Liver function - Perfect
Kidney function - Perfect
Vitamin D - Perfect
A1C - 5.3 - Perfect
Average Glucose 80 - Perfect
And a bunch more I don't remember but they were all within the limits.

OMG health wise this has been the best decision I have ever made. No more medications only vitamins. No more pain meds because nothing hurts anymore!

While I haven't lost

Hydration IS important!

by MillCreekKim on 07-21-2014 at 01:53 PM
I know we ALL know this but I know it for sure now. I have been in a stall for a month. Very frustrating. The last couple of weeks have been very hot here in the Pacific NW. 11 days in a row of 80+ degrees. That is NOT normal for us. The humidity has also been high. I didn't realize I was A.) not drinking enough and B.) losing more through sweating than normal. So this made me dehydrated. Thankfully I figured it out before it got any worse than a headache and mild exhaustion. Once I realized
