Hey gang I made it and doing great just a little indigestion I guess I'll be one of those people with reflux but hopefully it passes. Surgery went great I didn't feel a thing the nursing staff and Dr. Quinones have been great. The only thing I remember is walking to the OR room meeting the anesthesiologist and him asking about previous surgeries(csection), do you have braces (yes) and was my nails gel or acrylic ( just nail polish) dummy me should have known they needed that to monitor color/oxygen

Hotel Real del Rio is nice, comfy and quiet. I have been sleep 8 hours straight I had to come a day earlier because I couldn't change flights after I switched from Dr. Almanza to Dr. Quinones. Thank God for the switch. The hotel has free wifi and restaurant. Chicken tortilla soup was 49$ on menu but that was in pesos so I paid under 4$. Staff has been helpful and nice. There is no gang banging and partying in the streets, it's very safe. A few staff speak English and the Tv has some English channels.

Today I got lucky and switched my surgeon to Dr. Quinones. This forum is very helpful, informative and scary all at the same time. After ready this site daily I started to feel a pit in my stomach and a little bit jealous that I didn't research more. I'm not trying to say anything bad about Dr. Almanza because I have read some wonderful success stories about him I myself was just a little worried abt the stitches and a few other things. Had I not got lucky I would've still had my surgery with Dr.Almanza
