Welcome 1202newme! Congrats and best wishes to you on your new journey... It gets better I promise... My start was a rocky one and one that I dont wish on anyone... I was in and out of the hospital with complications over a 2 month span... But it gets better... I am down 66 lbs now and feeling much better and you will too... The nausea will subside, and once that happens your golden! Keep us all updated!

Hello I was back at work the very next week. I started going back to the gym about 3 weeks after surgery. I will admit that I fell back into the old habit pattern and haven't been doing as well as I should with the eating and exercising. I really should have dropped more weight by now and I know that. This week I actually have put it in my head that I am going to stop the BS and get back on track. I have planned out my 6 eating times, and even went the extra step of packing the whole weeks lunches and snacks ahead of time so I just have to grab and go. Sorry for the ranting, guess I needed to get that off my chest. I wish you the best of luck with your recovery, where did you have the surgery?

  15. Hello, my name is Renee and I had the sleeve January 6th. Looking for support as well as to give support. This was a huge decision and I'm thankful I had this opportunity to better myself and care for my health. That being said, the last couple of days have been hard because I've had a difficult time keeping anything down. So I'm taking it a day at a time and dreaming about the results!

It's been a while since I've checked in

by 1202newme on 03-16-2014 at 09:02 AM
Good morning!

It's been a while since I've posted. Tomorrow will be my 11 week post op birthday and I'm down around 42 pounds. My eating and drinking has not been consistent, but love the weight loss. What are good go to meals? I'm a Realtor and finding that I do not plan very well for meals on the go.
I've had a hard time eating in general due to a sensitive stomach... But I think the new a it medicine is helping with that.
I hope everyone is doing well and Happy

45 Days Post Op

by 1202newme on 02-20-2014 at 10:53 AM
I'm so glad to be 45 days out today! I've lost 32 pounds but still having eating problems. The good thing is that I don't really care about eating too much..(I love saying that) but I know I need to take in the proper nutrition so I can be healthy. i'm not a planner but it looks like that's the best thing for me to do....plan meals. YUCK Hate the thought!
Water is still hard to get down without mixing in something with it. I loved water in my pre sleeved life.

Thankful for the light switch coming on

by 1202newme on 02-07-2014 at 01:53 PM
Now that I'm almost 5 weeks out, I can say honestly that I feel great! Now let's back up the cart a second ..... These 5 weeks have been HECK! What a whirl wind of emotions and feelings. But I have great energy now that all the toxic foods and chemicals are out of my body. I know that I was killing myself Physically and emotionally and I. Had become a slave to food. Or maybe it wasn't the food but the dependance I was having with food.
During these last 5 weeks, I've barely ate....I

Am I the only one who likes whaling the cooking channel? I was just thinking " what am I doing?" I always loved watching them before and it's just an old habit. Feel kinda silly!
