I was just sitting here, reviewing the past and decided it was time for an update. For an update to make sense, we must first revisit the past....
I had my surgery in January, 2014. I weighed 225 (+) lbs and, at 5'3" was just short of morbidly obese. Like every single one of us, I was disgusted by myself and yet unable to find an answer to my continuously growing girth.
No insurance (of course) so saved, saved, saved and went to Tijuana for the surgery, which

I know, I'm just a chatty Cathy all of a sudden, but I really felt the need to share my thoughts.
Just read a post from a woman wondering if surgery was the "easy" way out. We've all heard or thought this (don't lie to yourself).

OK, it's done. Surgery complete and on to new things. First though, I feel like I have to talk about the weirdest surgical experience ever.
Went to Tijuana and had Dr. Almanza. We arrived on the 15th (6 of us). A black limo picked us up, along with my Mom, and drove us straight to the clinic. We are all very surprised to be told we would be having surgery that day, as we were scheduled for the 16th.
Blood test done, IV started, echocardiogram completed (cardiologists

So, here it goes. Today is Monday, January 13th. It's 3:32 pm in Arizona and I'm awake, darn it. I know that sounds weird, but I work nights (10pm to 6am) so this is the equivalent of about 2 am for me.
Started my pre-op liquid diet prep today. Not really a biggie since I eat weird hours anyway, but the head is not as logical as one would think.
I was sleeping soundly and suddenly woke up with a HUGE craving for anything solid. Of course I did, it's the one thing

So, veeery new to this blogging concept. Assume I am just supposed to put my thoughts down, kind of like a public diary. Anywho, my birthday was a few days ago, so my husband took me to dinner last night with friends. Spur of the moment we decide to go dancing afterward. Wish I hadn't. I LOVE to dance...at least I used to.
I was so shocked and dismayed when I could barely get through a single song without being totally out of air and wishing we were at an oxygen bar instead of
