38 lbs lighter and still going strong. Body is feeling healthier already. Very little joint pain and snoring gone already, plus cholesterol is down. Hallelujah! !!!

Can't believe it, starting my 4th week and I've lost 22 lbs. already. I even went to 54th Street Grill for lunch one day, but had what was on my list. Sticking to the diet plan really helps. I don't even crave my vice of ice cream, lol, that's a miracle.

Yipee! You have been sleeved! Heal quickly and lose even faster!

Sorry to hear that you are waiting but hopefully once you come back from your cruise you will have a surgery date! My pcp is actually affiliated with dr Scott's practice so they are both able to access each others records since they are on the same system. Hopefully that will make that aspect smooth for me, but I am still nervous about the insurance approval in general

Hi! Well, I was finished with my supervised diet the first of April and have been waiting for my doctor to send the forms to Dr. Scott's office. I have had to call every week and he still hasn't finished them. I'll try again Tues. It takes insurance 15 days for approval before Dr. Scott can schedule me in. Leaving on a 5 day cruise on Friday as a last her-raw before the surgery. Hope your doctor is more on top of it than mine. The way it looks it will be late or after June before anything happens.

How are things going with your approval? I still have one more supervised diet appointment since I started this only in January. How about you?

My endoscopy is actually on Monday 3/31 so I will see how it goes. I think it is great that you have some fun planned. It looks like you will be 2 months ahead of me since you started the process sooner than me. I am aiming for late June or early July. I am off for the summer but go back to work early August so would like to have some time to heal before I have to get back to work but I would be happy just to get the surgery! I'm sure you are excited because May seems so close..we are practically already in April already Best wishes and lots of prayers for you

I was scheduled to have my scope done this Wednesday but it was cancelled because dr scott is going out of town so I have to wait until it fits into my work schedule to have it scheduled again. Whenever I have it done it will be looking for the hiatal hernia as well. I am in month 3 for the supervised visits and really only need to complete one more to submit paperwork since I had 3 months of supervised visits last year that my insurance accepts. Sounds like we are getting closer!!

Did you have your consultation? How are things going?

During my seminar there were about 7 people but I'm sure January is a popular time for people to start researching the surgery seriously..because of the new years resolution as well as lots of employers start their insurance cycles in January( like my husbands employer). Well I received a call today from the insurance verifyer to schedule my consultation and to go over insurance information, but of course I missed the call while at work and when I called her back she was gone for the day...so I will try back tomorrow.

I mailed my paperwork in after I called and they told me that they can't make a consultation appointment until the nurse has reviewed all of my medical history. At least once she calls she is supposed to schedule the consult along with the psych exam the same day so I wont have to keep coming back. I guess there isn't much of a rush since I wont be eligible for surgery until after June(when my 6 month diet is complete). I'm just not used to waiting just to get my initial appointment with a doctor but like I said there isn't a huge rush
