So, how is everything? I've had a few stalls, but after a massage last week, scale moving again. I hope everything went ok & if you plan on the group meetings at the Kane center, I will see you there.

So, I see you're scheduled for the end of the month -- how are you doing?

Went well -- also had a hernia repaired. Pain is getting better day by day -- woke up from surgery in a world of pain , but fixed up pretty quick. It was easy to walk in the hospital, but we have so much, snow, ice & frigid weather, I keep walking figure 8s in my kitchen. It's tough figuring out how to get all the protein in -- have yet to hit 60 grams. Yesterday, I finally set a timer for my eating schedule & felt much better -- even made dinner for my family. My sister is here until tomorrow & has been a God-send -- she's taken me out twice to a few stores to walk around. I think I'll be ready to drive very soon, so I'll do the same. Thank you for asking -- this is a tough path, but exactly what I needed.

Binging - Need support

by aridge1975 on 04-29-2014 at 01:44 PM
Hello fellow sleevers. I haven't blogged in quite some time, but I'm 3 months post-op and I've lost 45 lbs so far (Yayy)...However, lately I've been binging on just about any salty food I can get my hands on. This includes potatoe chips! Also, some days I find myself eating ALOT! when there's discomfort, I let it pass, then I'm eating again. I feel like a I'm losing control again. I'm afraid that I'm going to start gaining again. What a battle. I've been stalled for 3 weeks now. I keep telling

10 Days post-op - Hunger Games!

by aridge1975 on 02-03-2014 at 11:24 AM
I MISS FOOD! I want a hamburger or a slice of pizza. Movie popcorn with goobers sounds real good right about now...Instead, I'm eating about two ounces of tuna w/mayo and two saltine crackers. I'm not physically hungry for the aformentioned foods, I'm mentally hungry. The mind plays some terrible tricks! I'm down 21 pounds since starting my pre-op diet (1/6). People are starting to notice, and that makes me feel really good! My scars are just about healed and the glue is starting to peel off.

In my feelings

by aridge1975 on 01-25-2014 at 05:40 PM
So this morning I watched a Gas-X commercial and broke down in tears when I saw a normal stomach. I asked "what have I done" over and over and over again. Afterwards I read some of the posts of encouragement on here, which brought me back to the reality of why I did this in the first place. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT. It's 5 days post-op. I've learned to not only sip, but to wait between sips. I still haven't been able to consume a whole container of premier protein, but I did

2 days post op...old fart

by aridge1975 on 01-22-2014 at 10:04 PM
Day 1 of my surgery was pure hell! The gas felt like I was in labor. As time went by, the pain subsided, and I'm happy to say, I'm finally passing gas. Ahhh what a relief. Consuming liquids is more difficult than I thought. I've been sipping on my protein shake for about 6 hours now. It hurts when the shake is going down. But as time goes by, I feel better and stronger. I even managed to walk on the treadmill for 5 minutes. Be well and be blessed!
