I am doing really well. I see everyone out there who's recently had surgery as well and it seems like most people have a harder time than I have had. However, my doctor has not really given me too many restrictions either. Mostly he just wants me to use common sense and listen to my body. That has certainly gotten easier in the past few weeks.

I was not huge when I had my surgery by some standards but I was uncomfortable and I was terrified of continuing down that path. My parents have both had some very severe health complications as they've gotten older and I am hoping to avoid that for myself. That and I'd love to keep up with my babies. I have 3 little ones ages 8 months, 2 and 4.

In regards to your final question, I have been maintaining my weight loss this past month. I just saw my physician about a week ago and asked him if he felt like this was it for me. He told me that the weight loss in the first month is so dramatic because basically, they are purging the fat cells of excess fat and fluid. After that, weight loss is more typical of the average individual. A healthy diet and exercise will be crucial in the next stage of my post-op weight loss. I'm truly at peace with that. I've taken up Zumba and I have to admit, I love it which make is easier to continue with exercise.
