I did the other day but for some reason my phone didn't focus. I will try to get something better today. I don't see a difference myself but I have been getting a lot of comments lately so others seem to see the difference.

Sorry to hear about the knee. You are smart to give it a break this weekend. I have been pushing myself really hard at the gym with the new program that I have joined and I have found a few old injuries that I had forgotten about. Fortunately they are minor pains so far... now to just keep them that way.

I was just thinking about you wondering how you're doing. I'm doing great. Weighed in today and down another 3 lbs and I managed to clean out my closet and get rid of about 40 pieces that were way too big for me. What a great feeling! How are things going for you these days?

What a great way to spend the day. We have temperatures here that are approaching -40 degrees. It is ridiculously cold. I have to head to the gym in about an hour and a half and am trying to get up the courage to go! As cold as it is atleast it won't be crowded today. Have fun with the little one today.

Glad to hear that you had a good time. I have finally been cleared to start working out and was able to get back to my workout group yesterday. It went quite well but I will admit I was wiped out after it was done. Still waiting for my stamina to return. Did I tell you I weighed in last week finally and I was officially down 74 lbs from the beginning of December. I think this might be working!

It's been a good weekend. A little quiet but sometimes peace and quiet is a good thing. How about you? Enjoy the game?
  8. Stuck on the same weight for 10 days. ugh!

You know, this has been an amazing journey. Just a few short months ago I was walking with a cane but for only very short distances. I had severe Lympedema in my legs. Today I have not found a distance I can't walk, I have taken my cane and put it in the closet, and today my doctor took me of my medication for the Lymphedema because there is no sign of it (after 4 years). I am down about 20 lbs post surgery. I am now squeezing into jeans that are 8 inches smaller than I was wearing at the beggining of December. My shirt size has dropped 3 sizes. It's not going to be long and I am going to be able to say that I have gotten my life back.

Now don't get me wrong it hasn't been perfect. I have had a few difficulties remembering just how small my stomach is now. I have learned the pain of over eating and I have learned not to mindlessly chug my water. I have also learned to take it easy introducing new flavours to my new stomach. These are minor compared to all of the benefits I am seeing now. I honestly believe I wouldn't have survived 2 more years without this surgery. In many ways It has been just as much of a life saver for me as it has been for you.

How are things going with you? If I remember right, you are about 4-1/2 months in. How do you find life with your sleeve? Has it made any significant difference to your lifestyle yet?

I'm pleased to say it all went extremely well. I'm moving better than expected and am getting lots of walking done. I even received the added bonus of learning that I lost 35 lbs during my 3 week preop diet. Nothing but positive from here.

Happy New Year to you too Jeannie. A few more weeks of no food will be well worth the happiness that the remainder of 2014 will bring.

Yes I did. Thanks for sending it. I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing the new you emerge. It sounds like you are about to get militant about your fitness and diet for the new year. Sounds like a game plan to me too!!

Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.

3 years post op. Feel great but didn't like the extra skin on my stomach. So I had a very extensive tummy tuck! Wow, what a difference in appearance. So glad I did it. 13 thousand dollars but I've worked so hard to lose the weight. I'm happy with the results. Thankful that I had the sleeve and literally worked my butt off to achieve my goals.
