Okay, before everyone starts scolding me, I do take my vitamins religiously, following my bariatric sugeons directions. At 12 months out all vitamins checked out, my iron was even high. So the only adjustment I made was to take the iron every other day because he said that is what I was supposed to be doing in the first place...oops! About a month and a half ago I be can to feel extremely tired all of the time so I went to my family doctor. He said I was "terribly" anemic ( his words).
My one year sleeve anniversary was 3 days ago.
To date I have lost 75 lbs, that is 10 lbs under my doctor's goal. Weighing in at 105 at 4'9" wearing size 0 in women's petite and size 12 in kids clothing.
I also went to get all my vitamin levels tested and everything is great.
My thyroid test also came back normal
Still frequenting the gym with a work-provided personal trainer once a week and I now have a waistline and ab-lines,
Tomorrow will be 8 months since my surgery. Two days ago, I hit the doctor's goal! I never imagined this could be me. Thanks everyone for the support and encouraging words through my journey. Fitness & healthy eating are my health priorities...this will be a lifelong journey. Good luck to everyone...hang in there, you will be here, too!
Just added the photos. The first one is from last month (I weighed a little more but basically look the same) and the second one is from 2 months
I have never been able to share clothes with my friends. I've always been the big one. They've been passing me clothes since I'm losing so fast. It felt like such an accomplishment to finally wear the same size! I went shopping for an Easter dress yesterday and my friend kept handing me larges...I told her I needed mediums because I'm a size 5 now. She said you can try on both then couldn't believe some of the mediums were too big! It's so crazy. I still feel big but when I look at the scale and
My family has been battling a stomach bug since Friday. It's hit me different than my family (a friend of mine that had weight loss surgery said this was normal). They have vomiting with it but I don't (not sure if this is because of my surgery). I can't eat or even take a drink without getting sick all over again. I've lost 5 lbs in 3 days which is a plus if we're looking for something good here. I'm so thirsty, though! Hoping tomorrow will be better.
