    Congratulations on your 17 lb loss! Be sure to celebrate each and every day because it is a new day towards a healthier and happier you. As you drinking pre-made shakes? I can't really stand those because they seem so thick and sweet so the protein powder with works the best for me. I use a 24 oz shaker cup and fill the entire thing with water and add 1 scoop of protein. It really thins it out and helps it go down so much easier. Be sure to stick to the plan and not introduce foods too quickly. Your stomach needs time to heal plus it will help you figure out to deal with head hunger.

    Good morning! During the full liquid phase I stuck with cream soup, yogurt, and pudding. I found some really good cream soups in the vegetarian food section at Kroger and at Whole Foods. I can't stand most of the premade protein shakes so I have used a powdered protein mix since surgery. I get it at the Vitamin Shoppe and its called Optimum Platinum Hydro Whey. It has 30g of protein and a very lite taste. I mix one scoop with 24 oz of either water or a mix of water/almond milk. Its the first thing I have every morning as I get ready for work. I know it seems hard right now but just keep sipping and taking a few bites here and there. It will get easier! I thought Dr. Macik did a wonderful job and my scars are barely visible. Be sure to stick to the plan he gave you 100% and don't "try" something early just to see if you can tolerate it. If you have any other questions along the way please feel free to reach out to me.

ok I need Help- 17 days post-op

Hi everyone, I am 17 days post-op and still on full liquids but able to keep down some sips of thin mashed potatoes. Is this too soon for mashed potatoes? I'm starving. I can only get in 24 to 30 oz of water, and 10-15 oz of tea and coffee.
I can only get in 4 oz of the protein drink. My weight does not seem to have changed. I have not weighed myself in 5 days. I'm scared about having regrets. I just started a new job and feel the pressure at lunch time. I only get soup, but I notice co-workers
