No problem...if you have questions along the way don't hesitate to ask. Sounds like you are off to a great start with the protein and carbs. The staff is nice. One on one with Shannon she is nice and approachable. Will answer any questions you have. I think she is great. With group instruction maybe it's just her teaching method?

Hi, that is awesome! What do you think about the process so far? To me it was long, however at the same time went quickly...lol
Words of advice.....start cutting out carbs and bad foods now.....lol, i think it will help with the post op diet so that its not such a shock to your system.Start the vitamin regime if your not already taking. I didn't cut that bad foods til the last two weeks before surgery, after surgery I craved certain foods and was bummed because I couldn't have. Remembering to take vitamins was a challenge at first because I wasn't on them prior. It has gotten easier though. Your perspective towards food will change, or it did for me anyway. As your diet progresses you will learn your new stomach and what works best for you. Feel free to stay in contact if you have a question or anything. Best wishes on your journey, keep me posted!

It doesn't make sense

by Lesiarad on 01-09-2014 at 04:35 PM
I have been more than 100 pounds overweight for nearly 10 years. I have tried numerous diets and "cures". Ha I went through all the hoops to get approved for surgery. At my one week post-op appointment I had lost 10 pounds. I was feeling happy and proud of losing weight. The next day, for no known reason, I started eating lindt truffles and ice cream. Why do I sabbotage myself? Why am I my worst enemy? Does anybody have suggestions to keep me from doing this again. Thanks

Well, I am really going to do it.

I am really looking forward to having my surgery. I am tired of being so heavy. I think this is a good decision, even though some people around me don't agree. I have had a few slip ups on my pre-surgery diet. I hope I get on track better and have great results after surgery. I should hear something this week about insurance approval. Hopefully I can get scheduled for over Christmas break. I am glad that my daughters are supportive of my decision. They want me to be healthier and happier.
