Interesting that you can eat yogurt. My Dietician has me on protein shakes and soups for a full 4 weeks. My surgeon only requires full liquids for 3 weeks. I was told that I needed to sip 1 ounce every 15 minutes as a target minimum. Also told that anyting I take in would need to go through a strainer to be acceptable. So I have protein soup and unflavored protein powder to add to regular broth or cream soup along with protein shake powder. By the way, my Dietician reminded me to count all fluids as part of my 64 ounce target. So if I use 8 ounces of skim milk or water to make the protein shake, that counts as 8 ounces of fluid too.

Be sure you take it slow so you don't have issues with nausea. And you do need to rest.

Glad your surgery went well. I will be sure to pack my Gas-X strips. My hairdresser had gastric sleeve 3 years ago. She said that Gas-X Strips will be my best friend for a long time. Wish they didn't have to fill us with gas to do the surgery. You would think that the pain from having most of your stomach removed would be enough.

Sorry you had to go through the period cramps too. That must have been a real shock. I went through menopause 12 years ago. If I see blood, I will think my stomach ruptured.

Good luck. Hope things go well for you. I'm counting the days until my surgery on May 29. I went to Vegas on business last week. Couldn't believe how much walking was involved. Glad I've made this decision. Don't want to be restricted by my knee any more.
