- Biography:
- I am 59 years old, was really getting sick about a year ago..high bp, pre diabetic and all that stuff, decided the traditional meds WERE NOT for me, and KNEW losing the 100 pounds I needed to lose would change my health. I have lost about 60 - 65 (staying in that range for about 6 months. I really want to lose 30 more and seeking advice and encouragement along the way.

We went to a Big NHRA event yesterday..I saw a very large man coming up the bleachers..and he barely made it halfway and found a place to sit down, I was very concerned for Him..And then it hit me, I was HIM...just a year ago. I realized that I had climbed to our seats with barely a little bit of heavy breathing and could have made it all the way to the top of those bleachers if I had needed to. AND THEN SOME. A NSV, and an epiphany of how far I have come in a year.

Just read a few post by someone on here called TINMAN..really inspired me. This surgery was to add to my life, I have been at the same weight since my surgery for about 5 or 6 months, I do not weigh myself often now, and I think I am scared of gaining, but when I do, I find I stay about the same, and that is because I Did have this surgery, and that in itself is a victory, I used to gain weight back twice as fast as I could lose it. I am now going to UP my water, I am HORRIBLE at getting enough,
