Biography:
I am a 31 year old single female, no children....yet and I ready to begin a new chapter in my life. I have been a big girl all my life. I have lost weight before (Weight Watchers) and I know I can do it but I cant keep it off. As so many of you have done, I have tried so many programs, pills, cutting out carbs...so many crazy fads. None of them work, long term anyway. I always go back to foo. So for the past 4 years I have slowly but surely crept up to the biggest I have ever been. I started to own how much I really just love food, and I eat like a growing boy..who plays football:) I honestly just love food, and all kinds. You could bring me to the most expensive restaurant or McDonald's I don't care. As I am getting older my body is not having it. My knees have started hurting, my lower back has been hurting for a few years and I just knew I was on a fast track to major health problems..first one being high blood pressure. I watched my 50 year old Mother get the actual bypass, saw all she had to do and really thought about it. I knew it was a major life change and after much thought, I was ready. My insurance covered 100% and I set the date. I tell you I honestly thought I was going to wake up from anesthesia and be starving..I thought there is no way this girl could actually not be hungry. Oh boy was I wrong. At this moment I right this and for the 1st time in my life I have truthfully not been hungry! Its unbelievable. Of course you eat when you know your body is telling you to eat, its just not the same. Now of course I am mourning food. I would love to dive into a slice of pizza or Chinese food but its just my mind remembering how dag gone yummy it is, not that I am starving for it. Its so important to know the difference. I am 3weeks out and I feel good, I prepared myself for it, and its VERY hard at times but its worth it. I am down 18 pounds....this is the beginning:)
