It's been almost a year and I'm 4 pounds from my goal weight. However, my Dr. and I are fine if I don't loose any more weight. However, I would like to loose the 4 and really another 10 but I don't honestly think I can maintain that with my body structure and diabetes.
I love the way I feel I can do anything. I can even run a little, I can walk for hours, sometimes I think I could be Forrest Gump and just walk...not run but walk for days.

I'm almost to 6 months post op (March 30) and the weight loss certainly has slowed down but that is to be expected. I go stuck at 173-174 for a while a couple of weeks and I was kinda freaking out but then I let it go and focused on the important stuff... my BS, my Triglycerides, my Cholesterol all the really important stuff that I had the surgery for in the first place. Today I'm 42+ pounds gone. I'm feeling good. I did great during the holiday's. I had some treats but in moderation. I do miss having a meal though. I miss sitting down and actually eating a meal. I know you all can understand. I'm holding steady at about 800 calories a day, some days a little more some days a little less, still no caffeine (that is a huge one), no diet soda (another huge one). I still have a protein shake almost everyday and a protein bar and a couple snacks and dinner. I was having

Every New Year I reflect on the previous year; the good, the bad, the ugly, the amazing, the losses. I would say 2013 was a pretty great year. After I thank 2013 for all it has offered I then let it go in gratitude.
I go into 2014 with a renewed spirit one of gratitude, health, acceptance of all things including my body. I go into 2014 with the knowledge that I can change but accepting that I can only change me and my attitude. I can be supportive, a good listener, a friend, cheerleader
