    Hi Ann.
Thank you for all your kind words. I appreciate it a lot.
Working my a$$ off. Every little bit of support helps so much. The BBQ was alright. I posted about it on the thread. I saw all that fatty food, and thought "No wonder why I was over weight going up my whole life!"
It was nice to see everyone, but next time I am bringing my little car cooler with my own food

Hello so how do you feel now you have done all this? I am sorry I wasn't there on the site so often. After a while and I wrote a lot of stuff in my blogs .. But I am now cycling so hoping I can get back too it. Tell me what you eat for breakfast and what a typical day is for you of eating .. I need to change my eating and need some encouragement my self. You are doing so well.. I need to try harder. So if you have time message me
    All the best Hev

So, what do I need to do when I feel hungry again, especially since I am only able to eat a couple bites when it is meal time? Also, I am not getting hardly any calories or protein in per day, and this concerns me. I'm drinking my protein drink, but it takes me all day to drink it, so if I drink my protein drink, then I'm not able to drink water like I should. It even takes me all day to drink 17oz of water.

Please help! I don't want to not loose weight or even put weight on.

LOVE the Gloria Steinem quote. So so very true!
  6. Ann2, that is so right and so sad at the same time. I really believe I have BIG stomach now and this was a waste of time....very sad.
  7. Doing well lady. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am learning to eat all over again. I can eat even more now that is a bit scary. I am thinking that sense the band removal and all of the swollenness is over, I can probably eat more!!! Do you know anything about this?
  8. Hey Ann2, popped in to check ya out, how are you?

I am super damn jealous. My brother just retired. I would love to not have to work any more. Although I just wouldn't know what I would do with myself. what are your plans? What will you do with your time? and I agree, don't buy work clothes now. We have a great consignment store, Platos Closet, near me. I love that place... but most of the clothes are larger sizes. how ironic.

thanks hon, great to hear from you and congratulations on hitting goal. That is not my favorite picture for the after shot but it was one year later from the date of surgery so I went with it. I am in maintenance too and it is hard for me but I am starting to develop a sense of humor about it so I am betting I can beat this thing. I have decided that I enjoy a weight range, not a single number. My range is small (seven pounds) and if I get to the top, I whip out the measuring tools and start tracking everything again. So far, so good. And sweetie, if I can do it, I know you can. The other thing I did was buy some very nice, expensive clothes. Now I have to stay in this size so I can still wear them. Otherwise I wasted money! (of course that may just be my excuse for spending more money than I should... oh well)

5 Months Post-Op - Down 68 Pounds and New NSVs

by Ann2 on 01-18-2015 at 08:55 AM
After 5 months post-op, this morning I weighed 167.4 pounds. I'm down from 235.6 (which I weighed 2-1/2 months prior to surgery). I've lost 68.2 pounds total (which includes losses from my own pre-op diet and the doc's pre-op diet) and 48.6 pounds since surgery on August 18, 2014.

Weight loss this month slowed to 7 pounds from monthly losses that have averaged 10.5 pounds. Toward the end of Month Four my bariatric P.A. urged me to start raising my daily cals from 800 toward 1,000,

Four Months Post-op and Down 61.4 Pounds Total

by Ann2 on 12-18-2014 at 12:29 PM
Today is exactly 4 months post-op for me. Since many people want to hear about others' experiences, here are my results so far (all in pounds):

At the first surgeon consultation I weighed 235.6
After my own two-month diet I was down 11.6
After my surgeon's two-week pre-op diet, down another 8.0
1 month post-op, down another 10.4
2 month post-op, down another 11.8
3 months post-op, down another 8.8
4 months post-op, down another 10.4

Two Months Post-Op -- Down 24 Lbs. Post-Op, Down 42 Lbs. Total

by Ann2 on 10-18-2014 at 07:23 AM
And that headline pretty much says it all.

Very, very happy with how it's going. Had a super good VSG surgery and an easy-peasy recovery.

Four weeks post-op, I got a bonus surgery -- gallbladder was removed.

Was hitting protein targets (60-80 grams) by Day Five. Haven't thrown up once. Am now able to drink water easily, almost like pre-op. Energy is coming back strong. Clothes sizes are down from 20 to 16. Looking much cuter.
