An IVC filter prevents blood clots from traveling from your legs to your lungs. Some surgeons require the filter before surgery if they think you may develop a clot in your leg.

Yes I meant to say sugar gum. Sorry! I find the Extra gum has a longer lasting flavor.

Good morning, Thank you. What has helped me through this journey is making sure you I get enough protein and drink plenty water. I am so glad I received the sleeve. If u use this tool properly it will work for you. Also, when I want to snack I eat peanuts and I find that chewing sugar free works great.
I wish the very best when you have your WLS. You are going to enjoy seeing the pounds melt away.
    Let's keep in contact.
  7. They told me yes to clear soup-it has to be the broth and not a cream soup...oh, and you have to strain all the good stuff out! LOL. I've seen a lot of people post op suggest wonton soup broth because the ginger in it calms the stomach. Good luck!
  8. I got my date-march 26th, I start pre op on the 15th...you must be getting close to that now...? Does Dr Kent have you drinking Bariatric Advantage shakes? I'm freaking out because the stuff has aspartame in it and any time I've gotten into artificial sweeteners I've ended up in the hospital from migraines and dehydration (from excessive vomiting) I said this to Tracy his nurse and she just repeated " this us what he wants his patients to use" -- I found a protein shake by Jay Robb that uses grass fed cow's milk and stevia. It has 25 grams of protein, vs BA's 27 grams, no carbs, no sugar just like BA and only 110 calories vs BA's 150-180 calories. I'm considering not telling them and just using Jay Robb since I'm sure I'll get similar results. It's a little more expensive, but al least I wouldn't be on death's door by the time I'm suppose to go under the knife! Good luck and I'm here if you need support~

Yay!! I see a surgery date!!! Congrats! I will make sure I come back on here to check on you ma'am! You are looking great! Love the pic! Have you started your 2 week liquid diet? I am doing good. I feel a little stalled on the scale, but inches are falling so I guess it's good. But I must admit I like to see the numbers fall on the scale. I am not doing all I can to get in my protein and vitamins, but I vow to do better. Just started a new job so I am super excited about not working nights, but boo to morning traffic! Anyways, just wanted to touch bases, take care!
  13. Thanks so much!
  14. I am keeping you in my prayers...you are going to be fine. Any questions Im hear for you !!!!
  15. Just checking in to see how you are doing
