The Marriott was beautiful and the staff was top notch. I stayed in the hospital for two nights and the hotel for three nights. If I am not mistaken Dr. Osuna is Dr. Lopez's wife. I have read on this forum that he is an excellent surgeon. My surgeon Dr. Elias Ortiz actually worked under him for a while.

I packed comfortable clothing, shower shoes, sneakers, towels, wash cloths, plenty of gas X strips, neosprin, blanket, bandages, and all of your basic personal necessities. You won't need an electrical blanket, just ask for the remote the controls the heat and air. The nurses keep it at the front desk. A small throw is fine or a small blanket. If by chance you need anything the local Wal-Mart is just a few blocks away from the Marriott. My husband and I walked to the Wal-Mart twice. If you don't feel comfortable walking take a taxi to the local Wal-Mart. Just in case you need anything that you didn't pack. Good Luck on your Surgery.

Thank you! I am getting more nervous every minute. But tomorrow is the big day and there is no turning back. The pre op diet is really taking a toll on me, Im sooooo tired all the time.

I am with you Debra, I lay awake at night thinking about everything and convincing myself it is ok to lose 70% of my stomach for ever..... that is my biggest fear! oh and not waking up after surgery.. only 6 more days until my surgery...

Nine days until my surgery. My nerves are really up. I thought the pre-op diet would be the worse part of this journey. Honestly, it's the aniexty that is really getting to me. I am so nervous and scared I don't know what to do. One thing I am sure about, I will not change my mind about this surgery. God will cover me. I have faith that God will carrying me through this journey.

My surgery date is Dec. 3rd. Getting my pre-op tests tomorrow. Started pre op diet yesterday. Going ok
