Yep, Israel :-). It has been an a,axing trip so far.

Congratulations on your 80 pounds lost, I see you post your food daily and I'm still tracking daily in Myfitnesspal. Still can't believe 10 months have passed already. It has been a great journey so far but personally. I still have at least another 40-50 pounds that I'd like to lose. But I just take each day one by one.

So it's just about dinner time here and I'm hungry after walking around all day so I'll talk to you again soon.

Hey there, how are you??? So nice to receive your message. I'm doing well, can't believe how time is flying by. Just recently went for my 9 month appt, down about 90 lbs so far but weight loss has slowed up a bit, how are you doing? How are you feeling?

I'm currently on vacation in Israel right now and having an amazing time. I look forward to hearing for you again soon.

I am doing ok... The pain in the incision where they take out the stomach has been hard to tolerate. Its hard doing anything for myself it seems, so I am relying on family to take care of me. Over all I am feeling great. I am able to get plenty of liquids in so I dont get dehydrated but having issues getting my protein counts to 60.. Nothing taste the same, but I will keep trying new things (protein) until I find one I can tolerate
. Thanks for checking up on me.

  15. Hi! How are things going for you? What have been your biggest challenges? Are you still glad you've done this? How much have you lost? I'm at 39 pounds off. That sounds good - but 28 of it came off before surgery! The Dr. said I would lose 20 pound in the first month and another 20 in the second, that's not happening. I guess, for me, since every day is so tough, I just want a reward for the "suffering"! LOL I've been thinking about you, my sleeve sister! Monique

Three Years Ago Today!

by kenson on 01-13-2017 at 11:07 AM
Today is my three year surgiversary! I cannot believe that it has been three years since I had my gastric sleeve surgery. My life has changed exponentially! I am no longer a hermit, staying in the house. I am out in the world, traveling (recently returned from Dubai), meeting friends and really enjoying my life. As I said in previous blogs, I decided that I would follow what my surgeon and his team told me to do to the letter. I really think thatís why I have not had any problems. As my surgeon

Two Years Out!

by kenson on 01-12-2016 at 09:51 AM
Tomorrow marks my second anniversary since I had my gastric sleeve surgery. I am in shock that this time has arrived already. My life has changed exponentially since my surgery. A little background. Like many, I had struggled with my weight my entire life. I had tried many diets, worked out and was a faithful Weight Watchers member for 10+ years. I lost 50 pounds with WW twice. At some point, WW stopped working for me. I continued going to meetings because it was such a big part of my life,

One Year Ago Today

by kenson on 01-13-2015 at 11:01 AM
One year ago today I had my gastric sleeve surgery. Once I made up my mind to have the surgery, I did not let anyone or anything try to change my mind. My cousin, who had the surgery the previous August, came from CT, and drove me to the hospital. She stayed with me the entire time and has been my biggest supporter and cheerleader. As I type this, I cannot believe how much my life has changed. My starting weight was 240 pounds. I was becoming a recluse. I didnít want to be around my friends,

It's Been Awhile!

by kenson on 10-27-2014 at 07:30 PM
Where has the time gone? I have no idea. Its been a wonderful ride, that I can tell you. Not too much to report other than I am still loving my sleeve. Thankful that I was allowed to have this surgery. I have been given my life back and it gets no better than that! My current stats are: starting weight 240, current weight is 161. My personal goal is 155, but honestly, if I don't get there, I am just fine right where I am.

I continue to follow the guidelines outlined by my NUT and

Six Month Appointment--I Got Another Award!

by kenson on 07-21-2014 at 08:13 PM
Hi All,
I had my six month appointment today. I am down 61 pounds total! I received another keychain. This is a silver one for losing 20% of my weight. My doctor is so pleased with my progress. He said that I am doing tremendously well. Getting sleeved is THE BEST thing that I have ever done in my life, hands down. It has given me back my life. I feel better in every aspect of my life physically and emotionally.

I spoke with the NUT. I always get concerned when I hear
