    Hi Dana,

Hope you are doing well? Wondering if you made it to support group on Wed? I actually came down with the stomach flu and was really sick Tues and Wed. I haven't been that sick in years. I was bummed I missed the meeting. Bi hope to see you next time. Take care!

Are you over your stall? I was in one for a couple weeks then slowly started losing again.I am teetering on 2 huge pounds for me sooooo anxious to lose it then I will be under 300 lbs for the 1st time in about thirteen years. I'm starting to be able to eat a larger variety of foods very careful to weigh or measure my portions. I actually feel hungry more now I have learned that's a trigger for me to drink and not snack. I have been walking daily now I think that helped pull me out of the stall and yes it's so true when I wasn't losing pounds I was definitely losing inches! Good luck on your journey I hope you are loving yours as much as I'm loving mine.

Dana, So glad to hear you are going great. 31lbs is great and I pretty sure you are starting to see it in your clothes! Stalls are frustrating and just knowing your going to have them helps prepare you. Just remember to focus on inches to not just that scale and remember you will continue to loose. I hear you about the exercise and honestly I struggled making time for it for too. Just rescently I finally got my butt moving. I realized that my stomach, butt, and thighs weren't going to go away with just weight loss and I needed to get moving. I feel so great and so glad I did this, but you know I still worry that it will all come back that my habits won't change etc... I have to keep my focus and if I slip, and I have, I just get back on that horse, forgive myself and move on. I keep coming back to this site to keep me centered and motivated. Its wonderful. If your interested, I go to support group every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30. Its through Park Nicollet Barriatric Clinic but its open to anyone. I love going and they cover some great topics. Also in June they are having a Barriatric cooking clinic. I heard great things about it and I am planning on going, if your interested let me know. Sorry to babble just wanted to share some things that have helped me.

Stay in touch and if you need anything even a walking buddy let me know. I can use the motivation to help me to. Wishing you continued success!!

    Take Care
    Susan

Hi, sorry I haven't been on much lately have been in a stall for a couple weeks now. You asked about hamburger I still have problems with hamburger and other meats I can eat a couple bites of very moist poultry or fish. But I still choose to get the majority of my protein from Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and poached eggs they are the easiest forms of protein for me. I switch it up a little with split soup or bean soups I still have a hard time digesting a lot of foods. Oddly enough I do OK with a few fat free wheat thins or a half of a piece of toast, but no soft bread...totally clogs my tummy and hurts.

Hi Dana. How are you doing? Last time we connected you were working towards getting the surgery and now I see you had it done! Congrats. So how has your first month been?
  7. JenMN - I'm doing really good. nothing has made me sick...working hard to get fluids and protein in but going good. my incisions are doing good. the ONLY down side I have had so far....the antibiotics gave me a yeast infection - so if that's the worst - I'm happy!
how are you doing? are there any foods you just can't eat? how long did you wait before having any kind of hamburger?

Hi I hope everything is going well for you!
  9. I'm doing really good. I think my hand is in the most pain (where they had the iv) than my incisions. it's hard to get in all the fluids and especially all the protein - but you just keep working on it. glad you and your mom are doing good and back home! my experience was good - I think i'll post/share it this weekend. 1st day back at work today.
  10. How are you doing? How was the experience? My mom and I are doing good. My mom was actually doing better than I was after the surgery.

Good luck with your surgery today, sending Blessings and wishes for a speedy recovery!
  15. Sorry for the late response, I have been so busy with work and getting for my surgery. Visalus can be found through independent distributors as well as on Amazon. I like the shake because it takes on what ever flavor you put with it. I did not do well on the pre-op, I was VERY hungry plus I was going through caffeine withdrawals. I did well with concurring my caffeine addiction (which I am very proud of myself for). My mom decided to have the surgery too so we will be traveling together. Hopefully, they will take good care of your husband while you all are there so you don't have to worry.
