Yes I hear you about the post-op diet, when I went to my follow-up I was told I could go on a full liquid diet. So that was good news I guess. I am sucking at this SF stuff though it is so nasty to me!! Ugh Drinking more than a tiny sip is getting better (tiny sips are for the birds) I mean it was like I could only do a lick not even a real sip of water and it would feel stuck and then go down. I have been working on this for real.
Other than that how have you been? I have been making youtube videos to see my progress and to talk about it as well. I hope to see the changes over the next several months. I will be back to check on you.

Yea I hear ya, I had a light sleep. I wasn't nervous till now - I have a little nerves my daughter started to cry. I am in the hospital room & I am sitting up. I don't want to lay down lol. It all may hit me when I have the nurse come in & do the IV and all that! We got this girl! Hugs,kisses, & blessings to you!

Hey, how are you we are only hours away. So far I am calm my family is the one with nerves now; it's like we switched roles. It maybe a different story when I check in at 7:30am. Surgery moved up half an hour. I am on liquid for another 2-3 weeks, really hope that changes. Really would like to taste salmon or potatoes at this point.
How long do you have liquids after?

You'll be fine...I was super nervous and my family and friends kept reassuring my that God didn't bring that far just to leave me. They kept telling me this was God's way of giving me a blessing to live a healthier life. If you need someone to talk to I will be here to listen....Take Care!!!

I was doing the same, cleaning and dusting today.I didn't make my Jello as planned and didn't buy the unflavored protein, as I tried a different product from my local grocery store that was selling the unflavored protein and the shake didn't mix. So I need to go on-line now and order some unflavored protein which bites, but I will have to force ISOPURE and something until the package gets here which sucks, but oh well. I am about to work on some homework and I think I will make a list of what I need to pack for the hospital to make sure I have it packed. Tomorrow my daughter has school, then practice at church, then my family and I will stay with my Best Friend since she lives like 5-10 min from the hospital and I won't have to fight the morning traffic on Tuesday. Plus, I want to make a video tomorrow for my YouTube channel on what I packed in my hospital bag and one for how I have been these last few days.
I need to get a shake in here before midnight and it is the all clear liquid phase tomorrow, which I think will prove interesting. I will check on you tomorrow and if I can I will check on you Tuesday.

We are almost there T-minus one day!!

We are almost there. I need to make some home made Jello to prepare for after surgery. I already got my SF popsicles and I have frozen homemade chicken broth. I need to make yet another stop tomorrow which is for unflavored protein for my jello and pick up my pain subscription so that I have it ready to go after surgery and not have to stop leaving the hospital.
I was at a women's retreat this weekend with church and did some exercise and my body is sore! LOL I wanted to be able to just rest on Monday so we shall see because I need to do some cleaning, so it is one least thing to worry about when I come home and back my bag for my overnight stay. I have to start taking the heartburn medicine tomorrow instead of getting Prilosec, I got the store brand and saved some money. Then after going to my clinic at the hospital, I found I could by bariatric multi-vitamins at CVS/Walgreens. Instead of getting brands like celebrate etc.

I am scheduled for surgery at 10am need to arrive at 8am but was told that all could move up by one hour. To think by lunch time Tuesday I will be sleeved, what time is your surgery?

Hey there! Yes I am doing ok, got to a point didn't want to drink & struggled with water. Now I am hungry here what on day 11. I am sitting at an Ihop now with the family before my pre-op appt. I ordered a decaf
coffee & put Splenda (which I can't stand artificial sweetener) and only could take two sips, just couldn't do it. 3 days to go, there is the nerves & the worry for my 3 weeks of more liquids. I am going a little stir crazy

I struggled today, it was later in the day and I think because I did have my shake really far about and that struggle with water is real. Yes I am allowed broth or stock, my mom made me homemade stock. I didn't have any today during the day which I think caused my hunger and just sad that I wasn't eating. The stock let's me feel like I am eating food.

Yes my day three and I find getting my water in harder. I was getting about 3 bottles of water a day now I struggle to do one and a half. Today my mind went to oh after work what's for dinner? Lol I am making it waiting for my chike shakes to come in as I prefer it over premier protein shake.
Glad I can have sugar free gum for the taste it's back today, it was ok yesterday. I think because my lunch shake is not really cold so that taste stays what seems like forever.

Wow we have the same surgery date! Awesome, I am up with a bad taste in my mouth & today is a struggle with taking water. Its only day one of the liquid dist and was doing fine earlier but right now i am like um.. It's your day two liquid diet right, how are you doing?
