  1. Good for you! I have struggled some with the emotional eating. Or not actually dealing with the emotions but not being able to eat, my normal coping skill. I get not knowing what to eat. I have that at work. In the evenings, I usually eat out, something healthy, and then just eat it the next day, as well. I have had more acid reflux then I have in the past. Intense. I also drink about 1 1/2 sodas a day. Shhhhh.... It takes forever to drink it, tho. And I need to work out, too. My muscle mass has gone down a lot. Last appointment was 11%. So I have been lifting weights at home.

Congrats on your loss! It really is exciting and amazing. Seems more impressive when I hear it from someone else. So thanks for sharing that with me. How much more do you want to lose? I'm at 182 and figure I will decide where I want to be after I hit 160. I just want to get the fat off and get toned up. nothing major.

Enjoy the rest of your day! Please keep in touch. I enjoyed hearing from you!

Doing pretty good. I have days... You know where you don't feel like eating anything because you're sick of figuring out what to eat? I've had a lot of discomfort lately with eating, and it's as if I can't eat more than like 3 or 4 bites still. Most days I'm feeling just fine and coping with the changes and fits that my body has alright. I'd say I'm about losing a pound or two a week as well. Down 63 lbs in 4 months, but I started out really realllllly heavy! Glad to hear all is well with you.

I am in Missoula! GO GRIZ!! Yep mine are out of style, I actually have a pair of Rocky Mountain Jeans and a pair of Zena Jeans, I don't know if you remember those brands, I fit in the Rockies now and I bought them 25 years ago...I am still a few lbs away from the Zena's, and I am sure I wont wear them, but it is just so awesome to know I could if I had to!!! (the waist on the Rockies goes practically up to my boobs!!) But it was nice that they are a denim with no stretch, I remember when all jeans held in your fat, now they all stretch and let your fat hang out.

Ohhhh, you're a Bobcat... I'm sorry!! Just kidding, how are things going, that is my favorite part too, deciding what I am going to wear each day now that it all fits or is too big!! I am so glad I was a hoarder and kept jeans and tops thinking "I will get back into these" !! The only thing I have had to buy is a couple pairs of jeans at TJ Maxx for a whopping 8 dollars/pair. Saving up for a whole new wardrobe when I reach my goal!!

Thank you! I did have a speedy recovery. I feel great aside from getting tired a bit faster, but that is what happens when you work and have a family and try to do something for yourself!! LOL! Thanks again for the well wishes!

I get it

by Debdaisy on 12-08-2013 at 09:47 PM
I remember reading several different times that the scale will not reflect your actual progress like the change in inches. I didn't want to believe it because that damn scale has been my barometer for so long. But for whatever reason, today it clicked. The scale is moving incrementally but I am down another size. This stubborn, my way or the highway chica is trying to get more and more open to possibly not knowing it all. Possibly.

I am grateful for opportunities to grow. (Mostly.)

New Game

by Debdaisy on 12-03-2013 at 10:10 PM
My new fun, fun game?

What should I wear tomorrow??? Great fun, indeed!

Hope you are all well!

Slow and steady wins the race. One day at a time. It's a marathon, not a race. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. What other platitudes can I think of....

Cheers!!

One Month!!!

by Debdaisy on 11-29-2013 at 02:02 PM
Greetings! Today is the on the one month mark for me. First and foremost? I am grateful. Beyond words. Since starting my journey with the sleeve, I have lost 36 pounds, with 14 of them post surgery. I am daily working on being content with the progress and trusting in the process.

The thing I am coming to terms with right now is that full will always and forever be different than everyone else's. I don't know if I can explain this. I know why I got the sleeve, am thoroughly pleased

Flu like symptoms

by Debdaisy on 11-13-2013 at 11:37 AM
Greetings! I am 16 days post surgery and healing well, thankfully. But I can't tell if I have some sort of flu or if this is sort of typical for the healing process. Diarrhea off and on, some cramping in my lower intestines, and then just generally feeling crappy. I'm getting my protein and waters in. And I went to the doctor yesterday to get a full work up: urine, blood, and fecal. Just to be sure. I felt so good the first few days, then not so much at all.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated!

Unrealistic expectations? Who, me?

by Debdaisy on 11-01-2013 at 10:22 PM
Hello, fellow journiers. Sitting in the Denver airport on my way home (There really is no place like home...) And I realized I have a little work to do in the patience area. I found myself getting annoyed about this symptom or that. And then it just hit me. I am three and a half days out post surgery. And, considering that? I feel amazing. I think my head is still catching up with what I have done. I guess my complaint is that I feel so physically good that the symptoms I do have are minor annoyances.
