Just come back from my 8 week post op check up and also had my first weigh-in in 4 weeks. In total I have lost 40 pounds and I must say I'm feeling pretty good. BUT by far what I am most filled with is, an absolute sense of peace and serenity that finally, for me, my 30 year WAR with myself (using food as the weapon to destroy myself) is FINALLY OVER! Just got home from hospital this morning - spent 3 nights in hospital . Feeling reasonably well today and so the journey to new heath and wellbeing continues. Just wanted to mention that, the very thing that stood out for me while I was recovering in hospital is that, this path we have chosen is a bloody tuff one. And, the crazy thing is of course that, for millions of people in the world they simply do not have enough food to keep them alive, so they end up dying prematurely. I'm pretty sure these people (who are truly starving) wouldn't be looking at a burger or a piece chocolate and

This surgery is definitely right for me. I want to not be able to stuff myself full of crap Chinese buffet because I just had a crappy day and I hate everyone and haven't eaten all day and its just easier to get the buffet on the way home then warm up leftover grilled chicken.
What is wrong with me? At what point in my life
