- Biography:
- I am a 48 year old, mother of two grown boys and a 6 month old granddaughter. I live in New Jersey most of my life. I also have been overweight most of my life. I'm 5'8 and have a large frame, therefore I was able to carry my weight well. But in the last year or so I am also feelling my weight, especially on my back. Now I am getting worked up to get the gastric sleeve.

Home again home again jiggity jig

Came home this afternoon. Took a shower went straight to bed. It's been easier getting around I've been up and down all evening, sipping sipping my liquids. But how bout this, never paid attention before, but it is a whole lot of food commercials. IJS!!! Everyone has been so supportive in this journey. My doctor is awesome, thanx Dr. Tichansky. And thnx to everyone for your support. Gotta sip some liquids some more, chow for now.
Giving thanks to God

Day 1 post op. First and foremost I give thanks and praises to God for seeing me thru my gastric sleeve procedure. Well everyone I' ve been sleeved. Other than this extreme nauseating feeing I get I am doing good. I am dehydrated so they jus gave me a fluid bolus. I have walked 3X already. Each time is easier. I have abdominal binder which is awesome. My stomach is sore but bearable. Now awaiting my upper GI. I'll keep everyone posted

Today is the day. I am finally here, the first day of my new journey. It has been a rough month. My f ather passed on Dec 10 and today my brother n law will be put on comfort care. So plz plz pray for my family and myself. C u on the othe side

So today I received a call from my insurance company. The call was just to make sure I have all my ducks lined up. And yes I do. I guess this is a way for me to know that they approved me ............yeaIt's getting so close. During the pre admission testing I got my new weight, OMG have gained 20 lbs since august I stopped smoking. Got my scripts filled out, pre op diet which I really need to follow. Going to be difficult. But only a little less than three weeks more. I buried my dad Monday, so

21 more days until I get my sleeve. I am actually at pre admission testing waiting for my chest X-ray. Then off to see the NP of Dr Tichansky. I am so ready to be done with this. But here I am though after 7 months preparing seeing this doc and that doc. Just seemed that I was sicker before I decided to get surgery than now, so it seemed. Lol!!!!
