Thanks. I haven't posted my most recent, only my 50 pound mark. I have some for 75 pounds, but I am only 9 pounds away from goal so I was thinking I would wait.

You've completely set my mind at ease with that. I had a horrible experience with one back in 1999.

I should add that the part of the catheter that is inserted into you is rubber and is soft against your skin. I really couldn't feel it while it was in. I think on the last day I must have bumped it and it was a bit uncomfortable, but it came out about an hour after that.

Hi Pink! I didn't find the catheter uncomfortable. If you had asked me on Friday if I wanted it or not I would say definitely not. Today I would say yes please. It was such a relief not to have to get up and go to the loo for the first 48 hours. By that time I was sick of it but by then I was not dizzy and it wasn't exhausting getting up and walking. I think the main reason I didn't want it was because I was embarrassed getting it inserted and taken out. They inserted it once I was under the anaesthetic and when they removed it took 5 seconds and was no big deal. I had no real surgery experience before this and so I was very self conscious. After having this surgery I am almost over my fears. I hope your surgery goes well, hugs. Marg
