I'm almost 10 weeks post op and have lost 33lbs since surgery and lost 12lbs during post op diet (45 in total). I know I shouldn't compare but it seems like my weight loss is so much slower than others on here?
I started out at 276lbs and I have an under active thyroid and pcos (which may be playing a part?)
I am now losing 1-2lb a week and have only recently started eating solids (apart from bread, rice etc)
I'm getting in my 2 litres of fluid per day

I'm getting a bit bored of food! What were/are you eating at 8 weeks post op?
I'm looking for some food inspiration :-)

Hi all! Well it's now been 7 weeks and I feel great!
The first 5 weeks were not fun but I am all healed and have been swimming every day this week :-)
I have not once overeaten or been sick. Everything I've tried seems to settle well including chicken and fish. I still haven't tried pasta, rice, bread or any red meat but I'm really happy with my progress.
I seem to be able to drink a lot more now too and I'm still supplementing with protein powder

I am 3 weeks post op tomorrow and still have some incision pain although I'm not taking any pain relief.
I am finishing my liquid stage today and start on mashed/pureed food tomorrow. My issue now is that I have awful constipation :-(
I'm drinking orange juice and taking my prescribed lactalose but nothing seems ro be moving this "blockage". Any suggestions? I'm thinking of getting some prune juice?
My concern is the blockage. Nothing seems

Hi all. So after 3 days of awful leg pains and being told by doctor that it was dehydration and low potassium and protein - I upped my levels and voila! Leg pain almost gone and I feel so much better!
I am still on fluid stage (only 12 days post op) and am now drinking the following:
1x cup of tea with milk
1x 200ml glass orange juice
1x 200ml milk blended with 1 banana
3x 200ml water or sugar free squash
3x 200ml milk with protein powder
