dessicated thyroid

Has anyone tried dessicated thyroid to kickstart stalled weight loss or to combat regains? I have regained 23 pds. at one year postop. Thyroid blood test within normal range but have read some studies that state you cannot always rely on the bblood test. Are there any studies that pertain to bariatric surgery causing hypothyroid issues? Anyone with this experience?
