  1. I am nervous about what I will look like I know it sounds crazy all I have ever wanted was to have a flat tummy but its scary I have never been smaller than a 16 as an adult this has already been and adjustment. I get put off by the reaction from men. I never had a problem dating I have always had a boyfriend but no I get hit on at walmart by the guys in line or asked my number. It should be flattering but it kinda makes me feel awkward. I am in an amazing relationship with a man who loved me before the weight loss but I cant help but wonder if he sees me different and seeing this surgeon is making me worry even more. Am I the only one feeling this way? Dont get me wrong I love how well I have done I am really proud of myself and nothing is better than trying on clothes and not wanting to cry but it had definitely been and adjustment.
  2. Seeing a plastic surgeon on May 30th I am so nervous! I keep telling them that I am not ready lol I am still 216 pounds but they say I am ready. I am tall and have a large frame so my ideal weight is 175. My regular physician said that when I lay down she can see my rib cage and hip bones that all the skin falls to the side that pretty clear it time for surgery but I keep thinking I need to lose 20 more. I was 356 pounds I have lost 140 in 11 months so as you can imagine the skin is really bad so I do want the surgeries I just and nervous I have worked so hard and want to make sure after I have it that I will be where I want to be. I guess I will see what he recommends thats what they do so he will have a better idea if I am really ready.
  3. Thank you so much! Its a crazy wonderful hard adventure. TarotAces

  6. I am doing great definitely the best decision I have ever made! Only problem I have had was a virus that made me dehydrate had to go get fluids but other than that I am great! Started back to work after I lost the first 30 life is great.
  7. I was so worried but surgery went great! The last two days have been smooth. I am having problems figuring out what to eat the liquid stage.

You must be super excited about tomorrow, I know I would be. I'm excited for you. You will do great.
  10. Its been a very crazy long ride. I had plans to have surgery with my brother but he passed away suddenly. I am still grieving that loss and struggle daily but I know he would want me to have the surgery. I started making plans again but found out I had a heart condition so I had to settle that finally after three years I am on the right track. I am hoping to have surgery in March of 2016

8 weeks out And Down 45 pounds.. You will do Fab... first 3 weeks is rough but then you see results and its worth it.
  12. The closer it gets the more emotions I have, still two months to go.
  13. I am worried about the plane ride too. I get motion sickness pretty easy, and the only thing that saves me is having some solid food in my stomach. If I am too hungry it's all over. I will be on liquids before the surgery - I guess I can have a yogurt - maybe that will be enough. On the way back though it will just be broth. I hope I don't ralph. I don't know which is worse, barfing in coach or first class. I am sure my seat mates would hate me either way. Hoping whatever anti-nausea meds they give you actually work.
  14. Dr. Ramos-Kelly's will be my Dr
  15. KathyL thank you so much.

The closer it gets the more excited I become. Ready to start this new chapter, trying to get everything ready for my trip. I am on line constantly getting advice for the last few weeks before my surgery. Love having this site for all the support and information. Still trying to mentally prepare for everything

A month away and getting nervous

by jeanahelms28 on 02-10-2014 at 04:56 AM
I have found a great surgeon not really worried about the actual surgery. I am starting to worry about how I will look after, doing this without my brother has me nervous that I will be alone in all this. I think most of all I am afraid some how I will lose what makes me me. I am excited and want this for myself and my kids, being healthy is most important. Just a little pre surgery nervousness
