  1. Actually when I went to the doctor last week for the check back I mentioned my dairy problem I was surprised to get a call later from the nutritionist offering more suggestions. It was great to see that they really communicate and care enough to try to help you succeed. I am going to try to go to the support group and see what that is about. These forums are great too. I tried meatloaf pureed the other night and refried beans with melted cheese and really enjoyed them both. Yeah the consistency - especially the meatloaf was unappealing. I think I just might wait on the chicken till I can take real bites! I haven't tried the Unjury shakes - I have gone to the health food stores and bought some flavored powders (lactose-free) - I like the strawberry - was getting tired of my premixed vanilla and chocolate shakes - but they are so easy to grab and go. Have a great day!
  2. That's great to hear you are doing so well! I actually have enjoyed the protein shakes... strange I know! I have found that I don't tolerate much dairy... that was painful to find out. So strange how the surgery has changed things like taste and ability to process certain foods. I think just figuring out the right things to eat on the puree has been the most challenging part for me. Sort of a picky eater, the thought of blended chicken has made it hard to be creative. Did have some vegetarian refried beans with protein powder tonight and only made it through about 1/4 a cup... tasted good. Have you tried the Unjury protein shakes? I do these with water instead of milk and have really liked them. So impressed with PSSC, they have a different approach and really love the whole team there. Keep rocking your sleeve!
  3. Hi Mary - You and I are sleeve sisters! I believe you were in the room next to me on the big day! Hope you are doing well and really rocking your new sleeve. Starting to feel like I'm more normal this week and able to get around and really do things. Started the pureed foods on Sunday and finding that a bit of a struggle... not wanting to eat, loved being on the liquid - strange I know! Looking forward to hearing how you are doing. Take care! Lysa
