Glad to hear from you, Julie! Yeah, it's definitely slower loss for me, too, at this point, but I just told myself to be thankful for each pound cuz it's moving in the right direction and that's all that matters. It's so hard to tell yourself that you won't wake up skinny each morning, lol! =)

Hey Julie!!! I can't believe it's been a month already! Don't you feel like time has flown by? I was down 32 as of Monday and I won't weigh in again until next Monday cuz I'm trying really hard not to be scale obsessed. I'm doing okay, some days are better food days than ever. I swear my sleeve has an attitude problem half the time, lol. Today was a good day, though...everything went down well. It has just been hard to get all my fluid in cuz it makes me feel so full! So glad to hear you are doing well! No worries about the rate of the weight dropping...it'll pick up again soon! =)

I appreciate you being real, better to psych myself up and be prepared. I'm sorry your first week was so rough. Did you have the internal pain pump prior to the surgery for something else? I've heard it's a lot like gall bladder surgery only you can't eat after, I had my gall bladder removed in December so I am keeping my fingers crossed for a similar experience. But I do expect the discomfort of nausea. I had major surgery in April and wasn't nervous about it one bit, this surgery I am because of the life changes that come with it, am I really ready, can I really do this? I think so, I just have to wait and see. 21 lbs is awesome! I'm I lose that fast I will quickly run out of clothes to wear before I'm ready to go shopping! Keep me posted on your progress. Yesterday I did food shopping for the next few weeks, it seems too soon to be eating grits and yogurt, I worry the wheat granules in the grits will be bad for the stomach's incision, have you been ok with those foods so far? Anyway, I'm getting ready and have a lot to do today, I will send you a message when I'm home and let you know how it went.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the egg. I'm gonna hold back on having one for a week or two. I had refried black beans with lime & chili popcorn seasoning for dinner and it went down nicely....1/4 cup and I'm stuffed which sucks cuz I was hoping to chase it with 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, lol. I have been fortunate not to throw up yet and finally my sneezes aren't killing me. Hang in there, my friend!!!

I see you are almost 2 weeks post-op with Dr. Siddiqui, how did he do, how do you feel, how long did you stay in the hospital? I have the same Dr. and my surgery is 9/30, can't wait!

I feel like putting on all black clothing and going all ninja on your hospital for a sting operation to spring you! I'm glad you are no longer regretting doing the surgery. These initial days are the hardest....I keep telling myself that....and then I get all happy with myself when I fart, lol. I'm on clear liquids until Saturday. I have discovered that chicken broth and popsicles are my best buddies...oh and gas x strips and naps, lol. Hang in there, girl - I feel your day is tomorrow!!!

Are you home yet?! The worst part immediately post op was the dry cotton mouth and needing to wait the 24 hours to get a drink. They did tell me I could brush my teeth as long as I spit it out, so I probably brushed my teeth 6 times between 2pm on Monday to 10am on Tuesday, lol. Other than that, my arms feeling uncomfortable is the worst part. Doc said it's gas. Boo on gas. How are you doing?

You are so smart to bring the gas x strips to the hospital - I'll add them to that bag, too. I'd rather have them handy and not need them than not have them and wish I did. Good call!!! My surgery was initially scheduled for 1pm, then when I went for my pre-op they bumped it up to 11:30, but then when they called to confirm my surgery for Mon, they bumped it again to 9. They want me there at 6am, but my mom has informed me that is ridiculous and she will have me there by 6:30, lol.

Yeah, started my remodel last October, lol...I thought it would be done by now too. That is nice of your sister to come help out for a few days and It's good that your daughters are of an age that they can be helpful. I'm bringing 2 sets of comfy clothes just in case I have to stay an extra night. I'm bringing my cell phone, charger, kindle, book, face wash, deodorant, toothbrush, tooth paste, something to tie my hair back with, chapstick, and that's all I can think of. Do you have anything different on your list? As far as for home goes, I have isopure rtd and new whey protein shots (will dilute with water), water flavor enhancers, sugar free hello & popsicles, broth, unflavored protein powder, gas x strips, acid reflux pills, applesauce, diet juice... You?
