I'm leaving work soon so I have to make this a bit quick. This was the week that made it 5 months that I've been sleeved. I have been very lucky that I've had zero complications since getting home, but that might be because before my surgery I read a lot of post on this board and took all the good advice to heart. Today is my 2 week post op, and when I weighed myself this morning the scale said 299. Thats the first time in about 10 years I have been bellow three hundred pounds. I was pretty pumped even if it was only 1 pound below.

This is my first post since I was sleeved and I'm feeling really good. I only had one night in the hospital that was a little rough. Really i as only a couple of hours and it was because I was nauseous but they couldn't give me anything because my iv came out and they couldn't get it back in. I don't think there is anything worse for me that the queazy stomach at that point I was wishing I could vomit to get it over with. When I iv tech was able to get there and put it back in it was pure bliss!

Well, today is the day. I'm down 12 pounds after the five day pre-op diet. It's 6:04 a.m. as I type this and I can't get over that today is the day of my surgery. I've found it extremely helpful and comforting to read everyones experiences along the way with this process.
