I'm glad that everything checked out ok. Do you keep a food diary, what you ate and how you felt after? I ate some bacon and the grease made me sick almost immediately. Only one bite too. Sad. I love bacon

That is weird. I wonder if it's anything connected to the sleeve?
Could you be having an issue with Gluten? My cousin and mother in law both didn't feel good for the longest time until they discovered it was gluten. Is it an every day just not feeling good or just sometimes?

You look wonderful! I like hearing how others live successfully after surgery. I am doing everything I can to join the group of those who "get" it and do what they need to do to be long term successful.

Hey there, just wanted to say you're on my list of "I want to be like her" too. That pic of you on the motorcycle says it all, this chick is fearless. Thanks for hanging around and showing us newbies what the possibilities are.

I've been there once for the seminar. It was a wonderful experience. The docs have their shit together, and it's obvious they have a well laid out plan of action. As a matter of fact my groups etc are life long included with the surgery.
Honestly I have nothing but good things to say about them thus far. I've talked with my case manager for surgery a couple times and she is absolutely wonderful (Jackie).
I have not been to a support group meeting as of yet. And I'm not scheduled to go for one yet. I kind of wish they had groups for pre- surgery folks like myself. Only because I'd like to get my head completely wrapped around all this and be ahead of the game.
I intend on keeping up on the group meetings post segury as well. I think this is vital to keeping our heads in the game.
Plus it would be cool to actually know in person people who have had the surgery done. I have never met anyone in real life who's had it done.
Either way I've became addicted to this site and reading the blogs. I do however bypass the pissing and moaning blogs. I ain't got time for all that.
Feel free to email me if you'd like to go have lunch or do coffee sometime. Shecop@hotmail.com
    Chat cha up soon.

The Amusement Park

by bikrchk on 06-21-2014 at 09:06 AM
(Background: I've been divorced 4 years, bun only jumped back in the dating pool in the last 6 months. I've had a TON of first dates, not many second dates, NO third dates).

So I had my second date with a guy I met on line whom I've been chatting\texting with for several weeks, last night and he took me to dinner, then the amusement park! Dinner was at Cinzetti's, an Italian Buffet. I was worried that I'd be able to eat so little he'd be like WTH? Why don't you EAT? (I haven't told

"TOUGH"......love!

by bikrchk on 12-13-2013 at 09:11 AM
This was written by Leilani Gibbs, mentor to the weight loss surgery community who recently passed.

May I remember this always!
______

"There's noooooooooooooo crying in baseball.....!!!!!!"

That's the sentiment (scenario) that comes to mind sometimes when I hear some of the comments from people who've already had the surgery. In case you haven't made the connection, that's a line Tom Hanks made famous in the movie "A League Of

2 Weeks Post-OP Today!

by bikrchk on 10-28-2013 at 09:14 AM
Two weeks ago today I was in an OR having 90% of my stomach removed. Today, I am back at work, (been back a few days now) with 30 lbs gone forever! (from my consult 1 month ago)

I was only in the hospital overnight, (they had me scheduled for 2 days). They tried to give me hydrocodone by mouth twice. Both times it came back up. Not fun. I wasn't in that much pain so skipped it after that. Walking in the hospital helped A LOT. After I was home found it hard to get crushed meds
