My wife (Colleen) and I just returned from our final visit with the Dr. and pre-op tests and registration. It's final we have to be at the hospital Wednesday at 8:30.

The pre-op diet is remaining tolerable. We are allowed raw or steamed veggies to help with fullness. We decided to make a "soup" with tomato's and chicken broth for juice and a bunch of veggies that are on our approved list and added some spices to spice it up. My wife and i are both scheduled for the sleeve on 2/26.

I am almost through my 6th day of my pre-op diet. I need 4 protein drinks daily, 2 made with milk and 2 with water, 6 servings of carbs, (yogurt, unsweetened apple sauce, sugar free pudding, cream of wheat, tomato of V8 juice) and then a wide selection of fresh or steamed vegetables.

So far the protein made with milk is good, but the protein mixed with water is about to make me sick! It's just the texture, smell

My wife and I both started our journey together with an appointment with the program social worker 7/23/13. We have been through Nut visits, monthly primary care Dr. visit, blood tests, chest X-rays, EKG, DW sleep study, etc..

We both got calls yesterday to tell us we have been approved for surgery. They are working on the submission to our insurance company (cross our fingers, toes legs and what ever else) for approval.

We are hoping to schedule surgery early February
