Hey! I'm doing well. I go see my plastic surgeon on May 17 th to get a consult for lower body lift! I'm so excited I can barely wait until just the consult. Don't know what I will do with myself once it's scheduled. How are you?

Thank you for the info regarding the hair loss.

Hello! I'm doing well! I ran a half marathon in Brooklyn, NY two weeks ago. It was my first time to NYC so I had a blast and the race went really well. I'm registered for a 10-miler this weekend however I'm going to skip it as it is too soon after my last race. I've been having IT band and hip pain for the past few weeks and it is finally starting to feel a little better so don't want to make it worse. I'm scheduled for a half marathon on Thanksgiving Day so I'm looking forward to that one. I'm having an upper arm lift done in about 6 weeks and getting a little concerned that there will be a lot of pain. I don't like taking pain medicine and I'm sure Tylenol won't help much. How did your lower body lift go? Was there a lot of pain?

Thank you Ms Jupiter. That lower body contour total about 3 months of really healing. I would of been healed up faster if it wasn't for them to cut me back open and found the ecoli. Because the hole was as big as my hand, probably 1-1 1\2 deep with tunneling. That's what took forever because they had to keep packing it everyday(had home nurse). I was suppose to have a breast lift done in August but they had to put off. He wants me just to chill for awhile. Probably February I will have it done.

    Doing good. Looking good.

Obviously, you are doing good on both counts. Loved your post the other day.

You have just done amazingly well with your sleeve. You are one of my biggest heroes here!

I just saw your response on the blog thread. I agree -- I'm a lot more interested in fresh, healthy food these days. Hubby and I went to a BBQ Friday night -- great food, but not a lot of "light" food. Very best wishes on your upcoming plastics. You're a brave girl. I don't think I can do that. Could change my mind, but at my age I'm not likely to have body surgery. Face, maybe. Many consider that an important part of their WLS. I saw a surgeon who said to wait a year after weight loss and maintaining my weight before doing anything, even Botox. So I have a while to think about it.

Good morning! I crossed the finish line of the Nashville Half Marathon on Saturday so I'm feeling sore but wonderful! How is crossfit going?
  10. Congratulations on completing your half marathons and getting ready for the next. That is great! I might get there one day.
I walk/jog a lot. I mostly just challenging my personal times doing 5k and 10k, I finish by cooling down 1 to 2 more miles. It is good for me and my dog loves it
I was a little sore yesterday, luckily I did not need to take anything, some yoga stretches really helped a lot. I have a pretty wonderful hubby who will rub my muscles when I am sore too. He is so sweet.
I hope you are having a great day. I am going to heading out for my second day soon. Today he is going to show me the weights and bells, and that kind of stuff. I like the rowing machine a lot. Squats were really hard but I did OK. I think I was more self conscious then worrying about doing them right.
It is hard for me that way. I know that is his job, and he does it every day, but I was still embarrassed doing the movements, worrying about loose skin on my arms and lower stomach. Can't hide it. Oh well. It is what it is I guess That is why I am there right?. Thanks again for keeping on touch. Talk to you soon.

Yay! Glad to hear it went well! Your trainer should be able to provide some modifications for the burpee. Soreness is expected since you are using muscles you haven't used. You can't take Motrin or Advil with VSG and sometimes Tylenol just doesn't cut it so soaking in a bath of epsom salt and using a sports cream on sore muscles helps a lot. Make sure you stretch well too. I'm training for a half marathon right now so I'm just doing light weight lifting. This will be my sixth race. I did 4 of them prior to surgery and one on my year surgiversary. I really can't imagine how I carried 235 lbs for 13.1 miles prior to surgery. I must have a mind and will of steel!!

Just checking in to see how you are doing? How was your first week?

Great to hear! It can be scary and intimidating especially if you have people in your group that can do things easily but don't let that get in your way! Keep at it and celebrate each accomplishment you make! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks! Congrats to you as well. Looks like you have had incredible success. Keep up the great work!

Hello! I did crossfit prior to surgery and have done it off and on since surgery. It's a really tough workout but if your goal is to become stronger and healthier it will definitely get you there! It works muscles you didn't even know you had but the soreness is worth it. See if you can do one or two classes as a trial before you sign up. I also do Kickboxing which I love and I do normal strength training and I run a lot. I never told any of the class instructors about surgery. Those workouts can burn a lot of calories quickly so be sure to fuel up before you go and I always carry a banana with me to eat right after otherwise I start feeling shaky.

Something to share. I love this!

by Ms. Jupiter on 09-20-2015 at 12:15 AM
I stumbled across this woman's journey and how as an artist she captured so many emotions I am sure every one of us here has felt during some point in our own lives, our own journeys.
She is a remarkable person to be able to say so much without saying nothing at all. Great work Julia Kozerski. Beautiful!

Lower Body Lift,

by Ms. Jupiter on 08-29-2015 at 10:26 PM
Still waiting.
I know I said I would keep updates on my lower body lift. Unfortunately there has not been any new updates.
I am not sure what it is up with my luck,
but the day before I was to check in for surgery, the surgeon called and had to cancel my surgery date due to an emergency.
We rescheduled for Sept 21st. I have not been on here due to having to reschedule my entire plans for childcare, petcare, work, and everything else I had already arranged for in

Excitement is building!

by Ms. Jupiter on 07-19-2015 at 02:36 PM
Hi Everyone.
I hope everyone is doing great. It has been awhile since I have got to chat with some of you and read the new posts. It has been a busy summer

I wanted to share the latest. I am 9 pounds away from losing a total of 200lbs.
I am so happy with how the last couple years have been going.
I am also going to a family reunion today. A lot of this side of my family have not seen me since I weighed 350 pounds. So you all can imagine the questions.

Getting so close.

by Ms. Jupiter on 05-19-2015 at 01:01 AM
Here I am, getting so close to my goal weight.
It feels unreal to me. I have lost a total of 185 pounds. It feels great, and I am in good health.
In 3 more months I will be having my belt lipectomy. I am hoping to be at my goal by then.
All of my Doctors have gave me the green to start my PS journey. I am going to have multiple procedures for different areas at different times.
I am excited, and nervous. The healing process seems really intense. I hope I can handle

Half my body weight

by Ms. Jupiter on 02-16-2015 at 09:01 PM
Feeling great!

On Valentine's Day I weighed myself and am so very happy to announce that I am half the person I was at my heaviest. I have gone from 352 to 176 pounds.
I am so excited and proud of myself.

It has been hard at times. I am not perfect. I make plenty of mistakes. I have binged more times then I should have on things that I should not be within ten feet of.
However I pick myself and try harder.

I want to tell all the new sleevers,
