Back on the blog!

Hi everyone ! I haven't been on since before my surgery but I'm back. I had my surgery December 30th that would make it 4 months post-op tomorrow and I'm happy to say I've lost 56lbs and feel amazing!! I'm wearing a size 16 and some 14's too and boy are people really starting to notice. You can see it in my face and my stomach area.
I started my exercise routine about 2 months after surgery as instructed by my doctor and slacked off for the past 3 weeks but I'm getting back on track.
December 30th is the date!!

Hi everyone,
It's been a while but I'm very excited I received a call today from my doctors office with the great news. My surgery has been APPROVED!!
It's looks like December 30 or 31st. I will know for sure tomorrow morning. This means I only have 3 to 4 days for my liquid diet which I start tomorrow. I was a little concerned about that but the doctor said it's not a problem as long as it at least 3 days of liquids before the surgery.

Well the doctor had the peer to peer conference on Thursday and unfortunately couldn't reverse the health insurance decision. This means 3 more months of visits with the nutritionist. My surgery will be now in December instead of Monday but I'm not letting the decision bring me down. This only means I will have more time to prepare myself mental and physically. Will be joining the gym today and get my grove on. The gym here in my community is good but I need some Zumba classes. Staying positive!!

Here is the update on my surgery . As the insurance company changed their guidelines effective Sept 10th my surgery was pushed to December even though my requirements were met by Sept 5th based on the prior policy requiring 3 months of nutritionist visits. However I did my research and found out my doctors office called in for the approval on September 10th and that why it's being denied since that is the date the plan changed (whatever). I requested a copy of the medical corporate policy and did
