So I just celebrated my 40th b'day 2 weeks ago, my goal was to be under 200 and I didn't make it BY my b'day but I did 3 days later. I have always been very healthy, even being over 270 for years, I never had health issues, but I finally decided to get a physical (now that I'm 40) and was a little anxious about the results of the blood work. What a relief it was to hear that everything was great, except the iron. My iron is low, but that's ok, I will take some slow release iron. If that's my

Well today is my 6 month anniversary! I have to say I still have absolutely NO REGRETS other than I wish I had done this sooner. I am loving the new self. I'm down 75lbs. Tomorrow is my 40th b'day and I am probably smaller now than I was in high school. It feels so good. I was hoping to be in the Onederland by my b'day but I'll take 202. I'm having a candy theme party (yes, I don't have kids, so I make my parties a big to do since I don't have kids to spoil). Not sure that candy was the

I was really happy I survived Thanksgiving. I was curious to see how I would do, and it's actually such a great feeling no longer living to eat. I ofcourse had a little bit of the "good" food for Turkey Day but I had no desire to over do it. I am 3 1/2 month post op, and still loving it. I LOVE cleaning out my closet every couple weeks and enjoying looking in the mirror. For anyone wondering if they should have the surgery, from my experience, I highly recommend this. Food is finally

I am 3 months post surgery & today I reached a milestone - 50.5 lbs GONE!! I am not wearing size 16 & 18 pants. I've tried to lose weight many times before, the diet doctor was the most "successful" but I have never been this weight. I am so proud right now... I can't believe I waited so long to decide to have this surgery, and I recommend it to anyone if you're ready. It's worth it. I have NO REGRETS. Ok, I won't lie, the first week I was tired and slept a lot so that wasn't

So I am almost 3 weeks post op (8/19) and last weekend I went ahead & started venturing a tiny bit and nibbled on a little bit of real food. Even this week I had a VERY small piece of fried venison. I know I'm not supposed to but other than a little heartburn I have had no issues. I am eating very little, and still sticking to soup for lunch & protein shake for b'fast. But with the LoseIt app, it's been really helpful. I honestly don't even really crave anything right now. Even going
