I'm so sorry about my absence on this group! I am launching a business project and I don't have much time now to spend on the blogs, but I come once in a while to see how you guys are doing ;-)
I'm doing great so far, 73lbs lost since December 2012 and 31lbs since surgery. Slowly but surely! I feel great, I do everything I have to do in order to have a successful journey, I exercice, eat well, etc...

hi guys!
I'm back home and now on the sleeved side! Yeah! Ready for my new lifestyle ;-)
The surgery went well but my sleeve is a little more narrow than the usual, as my upper stomach was apparentely very narrow.. so instead of being a 1cm sleeve, it's a 8mm sleeve. So the 3 first days, nothing could pass trough, not even water... it was too swollen... but today I was able to have milk, juice and broth, so they sent me home and I'm so happy to know that I will be sleeping in my own comfy bed! lol
I'm in pretty good shape, surprisingly. I had lots of gas pain and these are worse than the surgery itself but once they start passing, everything is fine. I'm not taking any pain medication since Saturday night, not even Tylenol! My energy level is almost back to normal today, I am amazed! Even yesterday I thought I would stay another couple days at the hospital. The staff was so nice and caring, I'm happy with everything... Now into my full liquid diet for 2 weeks, and because my sleeve is narrow, it might be more than 2 weeks on liquids, we'll see how it goes... My surgeon gave me 1 month off work.
So, thanks for all your nice messages, it really helps to have the support of other people going trough the same proces ;-)

That's a bummer, however think how great your liver will be for your surgery! Hoping they get you in this week and you are soon on your way to recovery!

It sounds as if you are having your operation done in Montreal as the Dr. seems to be French. I had my surgery done in Mtl as well. My sister just had hers done in Mexico this week. I assure you, you will be so pleased with your decision. I only wish I had done this earlier.
