You don't realize how bad you look until your picture is took!!

So girls night out comes around every few months, and of course it always includes a nice meal out somewhere....last night, The Melting Pot. So after we finished eating our great waitress asked us all to gather around and take a group photo. A picture, of all of us, I thought, Oh no, I hate pictures! .....so I decided well it's almost time for my surgery and what the heck, take the damn picture and don’t gripe!
So Lisa (our waitress) takes the camera to the back and prints the photo....I
Pre-Op liquid Diet ideas

Getting ready to start my pre-op liquid diet. Wondering if any of you have any liquid ideas that got you thru? I have the protein shakes and chicken broth. After that I'm kinda in the dark? Can I have fat free pudding with protein? Help!
Light at the end of the tunnel

Tonight as I write to you all so many things are swimming thru my head. Earlier today the patient navigator from my surgeons office called and gave me the great news that my insurance had approved my sleeve surgery! Then the phone call went like a whirlwind....set-up 3 appointments in a matter of 30 seconds. First, a half day of classes and pre-op appointment at the hospital on the 26th...second my pre-surgical appointment with the surgeon on Sept 4th...and finally my SURGERY DATE September 9th!!

Over the past few months I feel like things are comming together in my life. I have completed my mandated diet, all the testing and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Now just waiting on insurance approval.

So I've finally finished up my 7 month mandated diet....psychological evaluations....nutritional, exercise, and dieting classes....and surgical consult! So now the only thing holding me back is Insurance approval. I was supposed to be sleeved in October but now it’s looking like September if everything is approved! I CAN'T WAIT!! So how long did it take for your insurance to approve you?? I’m so anxious!
