Hello Everyone, I hope you are all going fantastic.
Well I am 12 days post op, I progressed to pureed food 5 days ago and it has been interesting. I had to learn to eat SLOW and even when you think you are eating slow, go SLOWER!!
I have had a weird pain in my lower abdomen, inches below my incisions. It's near my belly button. Plus my skin there is hyper sensitive. It feels like when you get a tattoo and all your nerves are jumping, very strange.

Well I weighed myself today and I am down 20 pounds since I started pre-op. My husband gets back today from working away, I haven't seen him for 16 days so he'll probably be in a bit of shock!!
Today is my first day on puréed food. So I had some yoghurt for breakfast. Went down pretty good, I find when I've had enough I just don't feel like eating anymore and I stop.
Pretty impressive for me, previously I would have kept going until I exploded! Anyway I hope everyone is doing fantastic!

Well I am discharged from Hospital and at home relaxing. Ahhhhh......I can't believe the operation is all over!
So yesterday I gave a brief rundown on things. Here is a blow by blow of my last three days: BEWARE this may have gross things mentioned.
Friday 7am: Arrive at Hospital and am taken to the Surgical admissions waiting room.
Waited there for an hour or so, then went into a room with a nurse and got admitted, changed into my robe and got compression stockings

We'll it is all over and done with, I'm sleeved!
I'm feeling pretty well today, yesterday I was a bit of a zombie with pain meds and lack of sleep.
Today my catheter came out, it was so great to have a shower without it. I still have my drain in, which should go tomorrow.
Pain hasn't been too bad, although for the first 24 hours I was pushing the button like there was no tomorrow. I'm surprised that I can be almost pain free today. I only have some shoulder

Talk about nerve wracking. I had a bit of an anxiety attack this morning thinking about the operation.
Met with my surgeon this afternoon and he was so light and breezy and confident about it all. Which made me less stressed.
I am first on the list on Friday so I will be done early and wont have to sit around at the hospital waiting for my name to come up!! I'm very thankful for that because I may have ran away!!
So this will probably be my last post
