Hi Victoria, I go into surgery tomorrow morning, with Dr. Takata. I'm jittery but all my fear has gone away. I'll be sure to tell you about it when I get done. Please say a prayer for me!! Cheers!!

Hi! Sorry I haven't gotten. Back sooner was getting ready for the big day! I am now 4 days post op, wow that sounds weird to say. I love dr. Takata he has been so nice through the whole process. My insurance company didn't make me go through through any pre weightloss programs or diets so everything happened kind of fast. The surgery was a hour and and a half and all I remember is going in the room and that was about it. When I woke up i wasn't in pain but I hear I was well medicated haha. The first day you can't drink anything!, that was hard just because the medicine gives you such bad dry mouth. But I pretty much sleep all day. I did get up and take 3 walks that saved me so much. Walk as soon as you can trust me it settles everything. I stayed two nights came home yesterday. Do you have a date for surgery yet? I'm excited for you!

I agree about the recovery. I'm hoping we don't have a horrible summer. I think your kids are younger than mine. I have two boys that are 10 and 8. They are much more self sufficient, but I have decided not to tell them that I'm having the surgery, because they are both blabber mouths. They think we (hubby and I) are going on a vacation for 2-3 days. Don't know what is going to happen when I get home, that, I really haven't figured out yet. Life will be very different post op, but I'm so sick of being heavy (especially when nobody where I live is remotely heavy), that it can't be worse than that, right?? I go for my pre-op tests the week of the 22nd and they are will Dr. Takata, so I'll let you know how he is. Take care!!!

Hi there, I just got your message, sorry, I don't have my profile set up to give me notifications so I didn't see I had a message. I'm so excited that someone else is using Dr. Takata. I have a very different journey because I'm self-pay and so I didn't have to jump through all the hoops that the insurance companies make you do. My insurance doesn't cover sleeve surgery so I decided to get it done anyways and pay for it. Ugh!! So far, my experience has been great with Dr. Takata. I have to admit though, I'm scared to death about the actual surgery and how life will be after that. We'll have to keep in touch and I can tell you how everything goes for me.

    Hi Vizrevision!...

I'm sorry I haven't replied back sooner... But I had to the psych exam, the Upper GI testing, and EKG testing done. O and my blood work and everything came back good... I still have to see my primary physician to get the okay but I go see him at the end of the month and I just hope he doesn't tell me no.. lol. But he shouldn't... You don't have any testing to do?

Yes, you read that right, up one pound. Well, technically, according to the doctor visit this morning (6/25/13) I have lost 0.4lbs since my last visit. So we will stick with that analysis vs having gained 1 pound.

When talking to Dr. Ray, mixed in with other
