Hi Mandy, You and I had surgery the same day, so I wanted to check in and see how you are doing. I looked at your stats and it looks like you are doing great. I've lost weight slowly, but I'm okay with that. I just hit 50 pounds today. I have about 20 - 30 to go. I feel totally healed and sometimes it seems like I didn't even have surgery. I'm still eating about 800-900 calories a day. I don't know if that's really correct but that's what I'm eating. How much are you eating? Good luck getting through the holidays.

We seem to have a lot in common. I am a mom of 3, taking 17 credit hours right now (going to school to be a teacher), volunteer at the church, volunteer at the school, trying to keep up with housework, while my hubby is redoing the kitchen. No pain, but the exhaustion is insane. I get a day of major energy, than I'm wooped for the rest of the week....

I had my surgery on the 29th too. Feeling great. Down 8 lbs since surgery. Stopped using the breathing 'Voldyne-2500'. No pain, never felt nausea. I am able to get in and out of bed with no pain and sleep on both sides. I do get tired once in a while. Using Myfitesspal.com and tracking exactly how much protein and carbs I am getting and so far doing well with that. I had to move my appointments with the surgeon, Dr and Dietitian out a week at Loma Linda Hospital, CA. Two more days till 'Pureed Foods' phase. It is so nice to be able to share and see how people that were sleeved around the same time. THX for being there.

Checking in to see how you are doing? Tried sleeping in my own bed last night... my husband is so sweet... set it all up with pillows and everything, however at about 2 AM wasn't feeling great and he got me set up in the recliner and slept on the couch. Feeling better this morning, gas is still a pain, but walking, sipping, walking, sipping! Other than the gas, actually feel pretty darn good. Get to start with protein shakes today... can't wait!

Yes i have 6 incisions as well. One of them looks like another belly button, guessing maybe thats where my stomach came out of Yuck is right! Lol I actually had my surgery on July 29 and came home on the 31st. Today is my first post op appt. Yes i think every Dr is different with the drain tube. I got soo tired as well then when I got home I had a lot of energy, was walking everywhere then all of a sudden was hit with exhaustion...for about two days I was wooped!! Holy smokes!! But feeling much better now. Keep up that walking cause boy does it work! Do you have abreathing spirometer? If so it really does help too, keeps the diaphram moving up and down to help get all that gas out Day by day it gets better we made it to the other side!! Yay! Sure hope you get rid of that headache too!

Having the same issue with headaches. I'm thinking it's from the Scopallomine (sp) patch. Has caused my eyes to be blurry and headaches. I actually never had the drain put in... I think every doctor does it differently. Feeling somewhat better with the waking around, it's funny though, get super tired quickly. Do you know how many incisions you received? I think I have 6! all really small, with the exception of one that they used to bring my stomach out (gross!!!). Do you get to go home today? Hope you are feeling better once that drain is out and that you can get rid of the headache!.

Hope you are dong well post surgery. Can't wait to hear about your experience. 9 days pre-surgery and getting nervous and very excited! Prayers for a fast recovery!

Best of luck today!! I hope everything goes perfectly and you can be up and walking as soon as they let you. May you have no pain and no nausea!! I did find that Gatorade went down a whole lot easier than water the first day, water kept feeling like it was backing up in my throat, Gatorade went down no problem.

Hey there, I'm doing great, getting a little jittery though. For some reason, all the fear has disappeared, don't really know why. I still haven't packed and gotten ready, but I have all afternoon.
