my original date was the 23rd, but I didn't want to be out the first week of school. Moved it to the 27th and can't wait. It's going to be a long month.

I spent one night in the hospital. I felt well enough to go home and wanted to go home the second day so he released me, although I probably should have stayed one more night (threw up that evening and was running a low grade fever, but was fine the next day). My post op visit was 2 weeks later, but I can understand why he would want to see you before you left for Phoenix. I'm happy for you. Let me know if you need anything when you're in town.

Hi there! Dr. Nicholson in Dallas is awesome. His staff is great too. I spent one night in the hospital. I'm glad I did because that night is a blur. I was very very sleepy from the anesthesia and I don't think I would have woken up to walk the halls without the urging of the nurse that came in every 3 hours or so. Insurance paid for most of my surgery. But my daughter was sleeved last July by Dr. Nick and she was self pay. He charges $12200 for self pay which is all inclusive, including follow up visits. He also offers financing. Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions.

Dr. Hanna & his staff are wonderful! I stayed in the hospital overnight after my surgery. I would highly recommend staying if it is an option. My insurance actually required the procedure to be in-patient so I didn't have a choice. I think I would have been fine going home the same day but it was nice receiving the extra TLC from the staff. I too was self pay and it was 18,500 for the procedure and that covered all appointments do a full year. He was an amazing doc and returns calls no matter the day or time. It has been a wonderful experience and I have absolutely no regrets. :-)

Hi! I would highly recommend Dr. Shillingford as a self-pay patient and out-of-towner. His assistant, Nancy was amazing and she helped me so much through the entire process- I had my pre-op the day before surgery, and had done the 2 week pre-op diet at home. He and Nancy are and were extremely great at responding to any questions I had when I emailed them. I also flew down by myself (scheduling conflicts with my family) and the hospital staff at Coral Springs Medical Center took that into account and I really have never met nicer people in my life. Or maybe all the people in Northern VA are just really rude lol... I flew home 4 days after and the flight wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was also nice recovering for a bit on Ft. Lauderdale beach! Once I got home, Dr. Shillingford called to check in and any questions I have I email them immediately, so it's sort of like a continuous follow-up in a sense.
